Wood Hair stick won't hold?

Hi everyone,

I made a wood hair stick, and it won't hold. However, my plastic one holds really well. They are about the same length, the only difference is the wooden one is a bit thinner. Is it just too thin to hold my hair?

Don't despair! Try asking for ideas in the Self-made Hairtoys (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=131) thread, they are a resourceful bunch! It might help if you can describe the stick a bit (is it coated with a finish of some kind, and if so, what? Is the shape tapered or straight?), or even better, include a photo. I hope you can wear your new stick soon! :grouphug:
