Hello!

I'm so glad I've found this site! I'm in desperate need of some advice. I've been unintentionally growing my hair out for the past 2 years. I've never had long hair its always been in a bob but after moving away from my old hairstylist and ending up with an awful hair cut I just decided to get small trims every 6 months or so and now I have BSL hair.....and LOVE IT!!!

The problem I'm having is I have a baby who loves my hair so much she wants to rip it all out of my head and stick in her mouth :p As I've said before...never had long hair so my repitore of protective styles consists of ponytail, the average braid and the typical "messy bun" that really just results in my hair getting tangled in the hair band and ripping a bunch out.

Got any suggestions for baby proofing my hair? I'd love to continue to grow this out and see where it goes but if she keeps tearing it all out I'll be a baldy

Thanks for your help!!

Hi Lila_grace,
I think once you reach 25 posts you will be able to search for the hairstyles. Right now you can try looking at the hairstyles of the month section and try some styles from there. Articles also have some hairstyles instructions. You can also search tutorials on youtube. The easiest is to start with cinnamon bun, probably:) These are very good channels for hairstyles http://www.youtube.com/user/torrinpaige

Just a couple days ago Igor posted a genius idea of scarf-wrapped bun here: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=62237
I think it is very protective, simple and suits your length just right. Very pretty, too!

Second torrinpage's youtube channel.

Yoou could also try a braided bun or a sock bun, both easy fast and stay there.

The Hair Style Dictionary (http://hairstyledictionary.ztn.net/) is another good resource.

The Hair Style Dictionary (http://hairstyledictionary.ztn.net/) is another good resource.

As is the articles section (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/vbjournal.php?do=category&categoryid=1).

I think if I were dealing with a grabby baby I would use a sock bun. The kind we are calling around here the fully rolled sock bun (http://www.youtube.com/user/Loepsie#p/u/0/I13J7ArHTkM).
