About how I did my hair, you part it four ways, like this~ +
Then braid the upper left-hand side down to the lower right hand side, and the upper right side down to the lower left hand side, and there you are! :p

I love this :3 I've just tried it in my hair (only just past APL) and I managed it :D I just had to put less hair in the bottom sections to make sure they crossed about 3/4 of the way down my head, so I could use both braids to wrap around into one bun rather than two, so I'm sure people with hair longer than mine could manage it really nicely.

Agree! And did anyone even notice the crocodiles? I didn't even see them till I went back to study the beautiful buns for the third time. :D

I don't mean to sound silly (but I'm one of those people that's just can't get the simplest braid right), did you do that yourself of did you have some assistance?

Well, mine is nowhere near as good as yours xD The one I did this morning came loose because I'd not done it tight enough, so I re-did it , but I got really lazy so it's very messy, and the right to left braid is very ugly. I also didn't take proper care in the parts. Anyways, here is the attempt:

I did take progress pictures if anyone is interested in seeing how, but I'm sure arc's would be much neater :p

ETA: and for some reason my hands found it easier to make it into a dutch braid.

And littlenvy, yeah, I did it all by myself! That's not a silly question, a lot of folks have asked me that before. I've been braiding my own hair since I was a teenager~ I guess I'm just used to it by now and don't really give it much thought. I had kind of stopped, though, when I discovered the LHC and other sites that give examples of new hairstyles to try. I'm so glad I'm back into trying out new things on my hair!
