For my fashionistas ;)

I'm obsessed with all things fashion and thought it was so cool how many braided styles appeared in these photos... and just up-dos in general.... Enjoy.

Not much new, looks quite the same as last year. Other than some braids are herringbone instead of regular braids. Very teased hair, would make quite a havoc on my head if I tried to mimic any catwalk hair.

I love the S-shaped braid!

Does that S-haped braid model have super thick hair or was it teased? wow. O_O

I don't see anything I couldn't do on a daily basis  Glad to know braids are still in though, gives me an excuse to Double Dutch more, hehe.

Considering that was all runway hair, all those styles looked relatively natural and easy to reproduce. :)

I think the apparent hair thickness in that S-braid is mostly due to the position of the camera

Ooh! Thanks for that! Those are fun and there's always adaptations one can do. Runway looks (including the eye make up ) are not supposed to be copied exactly. It's always about toned down versions. Runaway=theater in my opinon. Now... need to learn how to fishtail braid. Those are nifty.

I see plaits/braids are still the big thing, especially fishtails. Not too sure about all the teased hair that seems to be the big thing.

Oooo love it! Especially slide 18 eye makeup--I have a more toned down version of that that I've been wearing a lot lately (orglamix "saffron" mineral eyeshadow). And the braids!!!! <3 <3 My hair is ALMOST long enough to do braids...just a few more inches! Especially the herringbone style, those look awesome.

From some winter show, I forget who:

I love it, and the makeup too. I am terrible at updos though and I don't think I could ever recreate it.

I've never really "gotten" the messy look. I mean, there are some people that pull it off beautifully, but not me. I just look like I lost my comb.

On the other hand, extreme side part with a low bun? Right now I'm wearing a slightly off-center part with, guess what, a low bun.

And I really like the braids. The S-braid is spectacular, and the lace braid along the front is a style I really like but had no idea was fashionable.

I've left the house a few times thinking I was doing the bed head, sexy messy thing and then one of my guy friends will be like what happened to you LOL!

Love the S braid. I bet someone here could do that (not me, I fail at braids).

Not so sure about the excesses of hair gel I seem to see, or the teasing.

I love messy hair. And braids. Spring will be good for me. I can pretend to be fashionable for once.

I can make one braid on either side or down the middle, thats about it. Im terrible at updo's . The messy thing I could never get but hey, it looks easy enough!! I'm happy to see long hair in general:)

looks like the "it" length for braided styles went from waist to APL, but it's basically last spring all over again. good.

Did anyone else think the one with all the hair clips was slightly humorous? I keep thinking she belongs in the "Wear all your hair toys AT once" thread.
