A few pictures of another updo~ this one is a four-strand French braid. I love this style because, if you look closely, you can see one side of the braid is French style (braid underneath) and the other is Dutch style (braid shows on the top)...

that is really beautiful. I can't do a 3 strand french braid and with all my layers right now it would be just infuriating to try.

It's very beatiful! 4-strand braid is my favorite but my braid is too short to do anything so I just tuck it...

So pretty! you're really good with those updos- I can barely do a normal 4-strand french, let alone get it to look that nice.

As always, smashing (I tried to think of a word no one else had used yet) You know, if you were ever to do any tutorial videos, I would love to watch them.:drama: Hint hint!

That looks like a flat 4-strand braid as opposed to the box version. I think that looks really snazzy! Did you notice how the flat one tends to twist down the length?

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/terryandjody/Smilies/smilie_water_052.gifLianna and Gumball~ Thanks so much! It is always nice to hear from you. Yes, I love the look of the box braid, too! I had never even seen that until I learned it in an article on TLHC. I've showed my friends here on my island how to do these new braids that I'm learning, and they are as excited as I am! http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/terryandjody/Smilies/yahoo.gif http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/terryandjody/Smilies/Frederic-Metal-Smiey-GIF.gif http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/terryandjody/Smilies/smiley_spinning.gif

You've braided the 4strand slightly off-center, did you?
Awesome idea, good job! *scribble on list*

That is beautiful. The fact that you did french and dutch in one braid is crazy (in a good way of course!) I've never tried a 4 strand braid of any kind, but I can french or dutch ok. Can't even comprehend how you'd do this. Bravo!:D

Your hair is so beautiful! You are so talented at your updo's!

I have trouble with just a simple french braid, my hair is about waist length & it tangles so bad trying to braid it, that I just give up. I would NEVER be able to do that do by myself!

Absolutely lovely! :thud:I really have a lot to learn about braiding. I know how to braid, and even French braid other people's hair, but on myself? Like Fairlight63 said, my hair gets all tangled when I try to do my own, and it's just shoulder length right now! I can't imagine doing a four stranded braid. I need to learn how to do that...

And I don't know what a Dutch braid is. I just learned the difference between French and English... I admire your handiwork arc691! :crush:
