So, I've got a friend who wants a haircut (his hair is not LONG, but is long and shaggy compared to many guys). He has a fancy layered cut, and he wants it trimmed (he's complaining that he can't see out of him hair anymore). I've never really trimmed hair that has been already heavily layered and am a little scared to screw up his haircut. Does anyone have advice on how to trim hair that is already layered, while maintaining the original style? (I know this is slightly off topic, but I'm supposed to do this on Wednesday, and I was hoping someone would have advice since we are all very hair oriented here *self being probably an exception since I haven't trimmed anyone's hair that isn't extremely long*).
