Arwen's length

How long would you say Liv Tyler's (Arwen) hair is in LOTR? It is one of my reference points for my goal length, but I don't know whether it would be considered hip or tailbone.

I'd say about hip, tailbone if the curls are stretched. Though I think her hair varies considerably over the course of the movies. Wigs and all.... They don't like to just stick with one of a given length, it seems.

She looks like she's at classic on that picture on the bed, but her head is tilted up a bit so maybe in between tailbone and classic.

Mmmm it looks like she is more hip length in the photo you referenced but I could have sworn her hair looked like it was tailbone length... maybe it's in-between the two?

In those pictures it def. looks like hip. I too thought it was longer in the movies though. Oh well. :)

I think her hair is at tailbone in the pictures you've referenced. :) I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but my hair feels a bit shorter when I'm sitting down compared to when I'm standing up.

It is possible her hair also looks longer in the movie because she is 5'10" and a taller woman has more length to be hip/TB so it looks longer at that body marker.

I looked at a photo of her on the bridge and it looked to me like it was BCL or TB stretched.

To me, that looks like hip length above.

xoxophelia, I think you're onto something with Liv Tyler's height. I'm slightly taller, roughly at the length pictured (going by photographic evidence from the same angle) and certainly not touching tailbone.

My hair gains length when I sit down. Hmm. Relative perception, I suppose.

I can't guage too well because I really like to be able to see the bend in the elbow relative to the hair. But I wanted to chime in and say that I too love her hair in this film and use it as my dream goal.

If you take in account the longest little strand I'd say TBL but most of the hair looks like hip

This doesn't answer your question though, but I had to comment that I recently saw a German company that does a copy of Arwen's diadem. I wanted it so bad. :)
