Hi
I just wanted to ask if I could dye my henna'd hair? Note that my henna was natural and it didn't contain any metallic salts...
Thanks!

I was looking for the answer too 2 months ago, and i decided to just do it, but then the dye didnt take so well. some spots were leaved undyed because it didnt take. i have to mention i had henna'd 2 weeks before dying so ,when did you henna'd the last time?
I heard using a dye without peroxide will work best.
Good luck!

I am going through this presently - have been a henna head for 8 years or longer :(.
But due to so much grey hair - the henna just went gross orange, instead of my glorious deep red.
So the first three times I have used a dark brown - semi permanent that lasts 28 washes - did the strand tests and allergy tests and all has been great.
My next experiment is to use permanent dye - I am going to do this in a couple of weeks and will do strand test and allergy test - will keep you posted.
But try with a semi permanent with no ammonia.
I do not like ammonia and have been using ammonia free dyes.
