January 1st, 2011, 11:48 AM
I measured 102.5cm (40.4'')
I'm getting so close to classic - 1.5-2 more inches and I'm there :)

Now at 23 inches. well, 23 1/4 inches but I'm willing to take 23 inches.

A week ago, 42". Did a microtrim early in december of about 1/5 of an inch. Now I`m just a couple of inches away from my next goal, classic.:)

TinaDenali

31.5 inches. Up .5 from last month, and I just cut about 1/2 inch off last night! I guess the prenatals are working :D

22 1/4 after a dusting I did about a week ago!

I'm at 45.7", which is 0.5" more than a month ago. :)

Meridon
January 1st, 2011, 01:36 PM
I'm amazed I'm just over 32", I've gained over an inch in a month, maybe the castor worked? I only used it twice and have never measured my growth before this last month so will have all of 2011 to find out ym growth patterns, natural or aided ;)

Fairlight63
January 1st, 2011, 01:37 PM
I am at 33". I also did a micro trim to trim off the uneven ends. So I had 1/2" of growth.
I looked at what my measurement was in Jan. 2010 & it was 27" so I had 6" of growth this yr. plus doing real tiny micro trims. Sure did not feel like I was doing much growing some months. I guess that it all evens out in the end.

AspenSong
January 1st, 2011, 01:37 PM
A wimpy 27" here. lol. Seems I've been "stuck" at that for over a month. But maybe I'm just imagining things...

Yosha
January 1st, 2011, 01:44 PM
And I'm at 44 1/4" today (that's 1/2" over classic for me), at a growth rate of 0.4" per month.

IcarusBride

28" - Waist on me.
I'm going to be maintaining here for a few months (3-6 months) to thicken up a bit before moving into the world of 'seriously long hair' haha.

Emerald88

I'm at 45 1/4 inches.

Only a few more inches to classic...

January 1st, 2011, 03:49 PM
As of January 1, I am at 61 cm or 24 inches. That is a little longer than APL.

CarpeDM
January 1st, 2011, 03:51 PM
I'm somewhere in between a measly 14 and 15 inches right now. Even though my hair is all one length, the front measures 14 and the back measures 15 so I'm not sure which one to go with? Let's go with 15 :). I'm hoping to break into the 20's by the end of the year, keeping my fingers crossed

I hear there is a thread somewhere on how one measures the LHC way. I've looked around and can't find it. I've never measured my hair in my life.. Not too sure how.

Hi MafiaPrincess :) Most people here measure starting at the front hairline, over the top of the head, and down the back to the ends.

I'm measuring in at 38" for January, after a trim. Just shy of TBL

ArienEllariel
January 1st, 2011, 04:01 PM
23 1/4" pulled straight, so a 1/4" of growth from last month.

I think I'm just going to have to measure pulling my hair straight from now on. Otherwise I get all sorts of weird and conflicting measurements.

First measure ever.. 32.5" which puts me at waist or slightly below. Last trim was Septemberish and I cut off about 4". Now that I've found the world of hair toys 'm going to avoid cutting off hair for a while.

silversnow
January 1st, 2011, 04:30 PM
45 inches, edging ever so closely to classic.

Kaeita
January 1st, 2011, 04:37 PM
I measured 48cm (19") on 1/1/2011. My hair has been growing really fast (1cm every 2-4 days), so it'll be interesting to see if this continues - if it does, I'll be well past waist by the end of the year. I'm contemplating a trim to even up the hemline mid-January, then perhaps no trims till December.

Fayjoi
January 1st, 2011, 04:44 PM
33 inches. Almost 1 inch more then last month :)

SpeakingEZ
January 1st, 2011, 05:17 PM
26.25" I'm up 3/4 of an inch since I last trimmed. Since my hair is growing at roughly half an inch per month, I should be back in the 30's by the end of the year. :)

I got 23.5 just before Christmas. Though I plan to put away my measuring tape till May when I should be 25" (my first goal I made when I started here at about 16" with a couple small trims in the meantime)

Mountaingrrl

Measuring tape says 21, but I doubt I've really gained a full inch in a week.

44.5'' when wet. I think its more like 44.25'', but the very longest few hairs are definately 44.5!

squintinschool
January 1st, 2011, 09:39 PM
25", which for me is APL. Granted, a good portion of my hair is between there and shoulder, due to layers. I also need to get me a new measuring tape, as the highest this one goes is 25"!

January 1st, 2011, 09:53 PM
After my monthly trim, I am at 37.75 inches. I'm less than an inch to solid tailbone!

ETA: After looking up last January's measurement, I was at 32.75 inches a year ago, so that is 5 inches gain with 3 inches worth of monthly microtrims...YEA!!

Im new to this site, but just decided to start the journet to longer, healthier hair last month..I didnt measure, but I know my hair has grown a little..As of now I measure in at 20.5"

Im guessing I probably have about .5" growth since last month...Im so excited to reach my FIRST goal of about 28" Hopefully we can get there!!!!

Trying less heat, ACV rinses, Vitamins, and Biotin supplements. LOTS of water, and scalp massages..lol:D

21 inches - up juuuussssst under an inch from last month! :D

I'm so close to APL, I can smell it!

ermm...

Iv had some more fine white hairs growing, and the other has so far stayed but still patchy regrowth. My eyelashes seem to be growing back in a few places.

The majority is still not growing so a 0 length here.

BelleBot
January 2nd, 2011, 04:22 AM
My longest strands are at 38.5 inches this month, so that's 3/4 inch growth this month after a few months of very slow growth. Yay! Less than 4 inches till my goal of classic :-D

29.5 inches (75cm) as of now. Whoohoo! Getting closer to waist length. :)

Well, I didn't really want to take my hair down from its ponytail right down, so I just plucked a hair off and measured it. For a moment I felt a bit paranoid...:p
So - now I measure some 95.5 cm=37.6 in! This a photo from late October, a bit blurry (sorry it's so large!):https://p4tg4w.bay.livefilestore.com/y1pPL7H8VsGQT_tz87YNKan98NlLuvsAWTIBtRV0uxaGzaWTmV f1foArZbdZX9vCvSAtuLZSvjWmQ77G6OhnJDaJN2FNsXHPaoP/100_0792.JPG?psid=1

My hemline is not very level, probably due to some smalls trims I made with my hair braided, so I can't really decide if I have achieved classic length already or if I'm still a bit down tailbone, or if I'm only at tailbone...
My ends are a bit thinnish too...:( I did some microtrims to try to make things a bit better, but I'm not really sure I like "fairytale ends" as yet. But if achieving a blunter hemline means trimming more than I usually dare...I'm not ready for it either I think I'm a "hair-cutting-phobiac"shudder:

Avital88
January 2nd, 2011, 11:18 AM
i measured only 0.2 inch of growth since 16december..i think i s&d 'd too much.
Hopefully Januari will bring a lot of growth.

When I measured on the 29th, 20 days after measuring on my join date, I was an even inch longer. So, probably not much longer than that :) That puts me at BSL for the new year! Being short waisted means I'll probably hit waist before June!

Beatrix_Kiddo
January 2nd, 2011, 02:17 PM
I did my very first measure of the year: I'm on 20.5 inches (52 cms). I hope summer here helps me to reach APL in february and hopefully BSL in september *fingers crossed*

Little_Bird
January 2nd, 2011, 02:40 PM
Yay, I'm back to measuring :D

Last time I measured was months ago, after my last trim, when I left my hair at 107,5 cm.

Today it measures 112,5, or 44.30 cm. Therefore, it's less than 3 inches (or 6 months) away from goal. GAAHHHH! I can't wait :D Come on my hair, grow :happydance:

And I am still quite happy with my hemline :)

akuamoonmaui
January 2nd, 2011, 06:16 PM
25 inches (stretched - probably 26.5). I have trimmed a total of about 2" since joining this site, but I don't mind, I have a good start going for the year.

GuardGirl
January 2nd, 2011, 08:01 PM
Okay, so I measured three times and got three different measurements- 20.5", 20" and 20.25". So Im going to go with 20.25" to have some middle ground. My hair is very wavy/frizzy, and the weather has been stormy so its hard to get a very accurate measurement. I was at 18.5" on October 26th when I cut my BSL hair off, so I've gotten 1.75" of growth in 2 months. Not super fast, but decent growth. :)

GeoJ
January 2nd, 2011, 08:01 PM
I gained 0.75" this month, but trimmed 0.5" off, so my hair is 50.25" long now. Last January it was 46.5", so I only had a 3.75" increase in my length.

WaitingSoLong
January 2nd, 2011, 08:13 PM
I am an even 38". Should be classic by years end, 44".

EtherealOde
January 2nd, 2011, 08:26 PM
I cut mine back in December, to get the ends all nice and refreshed. So I started the year at 24" exactly. I am hoping for waist by this time next year.

rachelily
January 2nd, 2011, 08:44 PM
Currently at 25"!

tinywife
January 2nd, 2011, 09:29 PM
DH measure me at 10"! I'm going to have him do it from now on because he gets such different results from me... But that was definitely an inch and a half growth in just 1 month! Which means, if I stay on that schedule, I'll be at classic length in October 2012!! Although right now, a mere shoulder length is starting to sound like the Holy Grail...

KLin
January 2nd, 2011, 09:49 PM
I just joined the beginning of Dec, and did my last micro trim before the no trim in 2011 challenge, so my measurement is still 31 inches. My hair is wavy and was up and braided all day, but it is what I am using as my starting measurement for the challenge.
I have been losing lots of hair. So I am hoping to thicken, protect and grow in the new year.

Qamar
January 2nd, 2011, 10:13 PM
I'm at 38.5" at my longest racer hairs. Its about half way down my butt and on its way to classic.

January 3rd, 2011, 12:26 AM
First time measuring since June...I gained 3 7/8" in 6 months, averaging just over 5/8" per month, which puts me at 27 1/8"....and oh, look! I hit BSL! WOOT!!!

Finoriel
January 3rd, 2011, 02:39 AM
Just measured the first time again in a looong time.
51" which makes for a yearly growth of 6". (I trimmed from 54" to 45" last January.) 6" is about normal growth rate for me.
But good new growth isn't related to shedding and the monstrous taper it caused for my length during the last year. Guess I'll end up trimming all growth again :knitfrog: :meditate:

Theobroma
January 3rd, 2011, 03:24 AM
81cm, which is just a smidgeon short of waist on me. Hoping to get to hip by the end of the year!

SpinDance
January 4th, 2011, 02:44 PM
Measure taken yesterday was 36 7/8 inches. 36.875 in = 93.7 cm. I had a micro trim in the middle of December and still got about 1/2 inch of growth. I expect another dusting this month in the ongoing hem thickening process.

January 4th, 2011, 02:51 PM
49.25" Dec 31st, or 0.5" longer than start of Dec.

And....1.5" shorter than start of the year (50.75"). No trimming required. Hopefully it'll get longer in 2011 unlike both 2009 and 2010.

I stalled from October until recently. I just got to 32. I've started to wear my hair up more ( I leave it down if I'm around the house) and I'm working on quitting smoking, I think it's either smoking or winter that caused the stall

17.25" here!

January 4th, 2011, 11:07 PM
I haven't posted for a very long time but here I am again ;) I have been stalling at 35.25" since May so I got quite excited to find my longest few hairs at 35.5" now. I hope my hair has decided to grow again and that I'm just not developing some racers that intend to break in the near future... I'll just have to wait and see what happens. *crossing fingers*

25" - again.

My hair was looking really long but super thin at the ends (wet, I measured like 4 hairs at 27.5" but the 4 hairs thing bothered me.)

I did a legit self-chop to start the new year fresh so 25" - again.

(Sad face because I started my growth journey exactly 2 years ago and measured in at 20.5 but it certainly does look thicker.)

Nastasia
January 6th, 2011, 04:18 PM
I'm at 39", which is right on schedule, since I was at 38" in November. That puts me 4.5" away from classic, which is 43.5" on me.

I just measured two days ago for the first time (though I've been taking pictures once a month to "track" my growth). I measured in at just over 15 inches, so just under 7 inches to my goal of APL! However, I think I will be content at 20 inches (but will keep growing to 22).
