My turn! Mine is a little confusing to me, especially for its length. I'm thinking it's 1c - 2a... but not sure. Any opinions? Thanks!

How did you treat it before the above picture? Was it washed? Combed?

Forgot to add! I just clarified, deep conditioned (3 minutes), and combed. I will add though that it normally looks like this when I let it air dry after CO, CWC, just shampoo, and whatever really.

Thanks! If it was combed, I think you're right on the 1c/2a.

I agree with 1c/2a as well. :)

Although I'd be interested to see what it does if you do the "leave it alone right out of the shower" and drip dry method. Did you check out my post recently? http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=62181

I'm gathering it's kinda hard to figure hair-type if you're only slightly wavy! I know it's been weirding me out....

Yep, I saw your thread. Oh man... I don't want to know what my hair looks like right out of the shower and drying. I find it hideous enough as it is now, haha.

Thanks both of your for your responses! It's what I figured, as well, just wanted to have others' opinions on it.

I'm thinking 1b or 1c because there's more of a body wave to it rather than S-waves all over.

It looks to me like about all we can reasonably say right now is "not straight". There aren't any visible corkscrews... yet. And I've definitely known people who started corkscrew curls at the nape, and had hardly a hint of wave higher up on their head.

The way your ends curl up so is making me suspicious.

I'll cross my fingers that your wave or curl pattern grows out and is as pretty as it looks like it might be.

Hey, it isn't hideous at all! You don't know how long I fight with my 1a hair sometimes, trying to obtain something like the body wave you have...No wave of any kind will stay on it longer than half an hour (sigh). I like my hair being completely straight, but I would also like to have some waves for a change sometimes!!
To your question, I would say maybe 1c - straight with body wave and one or two visible S-waves.

I'm going with 1C.

Well, it's sort of hard for me to hairtype it since it's been combe, and having been combed makes the hair straighter naturally... so I'm not sure.
However, judging by the pictures I'd say 1c/2a. :)

Pretty hard to tell but id guess looking at your photo your a 1b/c, the layers give the impression of waves plus its been combed, however id guess as your layers equal out and you gain more length you have potential to get to a 2b, its very similar to mine at that length and mine got more wavy as it got longer

this is my hair combed at a similar length http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=354&pictureid=29005

and uncombed http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=354&pictureid=29006

Thanks jojo. That first pic really does look similar to mine right now. I'd quite like it wavier as it gets longer, it's just a pain at the moment with the length and the layers. :)

I feel the same way about mine right now. I'm at a weird shoulder-length with layers...so if I want to put it up in a fun way, all these pieces fall out or don't stay in the right spot, etc. And my hair is super slippery anyway! :D Can't wait to get a little more length.

I'd say 1C, but with some more length and uncombed, who knows, you might spot some more S-waves appearing.
