Has anyone ever used salt water around the hair line to keep fly aways to a minimum? Spray and then dry hair with the salt water.

Honestly, I'd think it'd be drying. Have you tried something like aloe vera gel?

May be the effect will be similar to the sea salt hair spray - more volume and curls.

I am sure that someone on herer tried this a long time ago, and it took ages to get their hair back to normal - maybe it was Snowymoon? I am not sure, it would be an old, old thread? So I'd be wary of this, IMO :)

Hair is more frizzy when it's dry, so wouldn't salt water make fly-aways worse?

I both swim and surf. And I can attest to salt water being the most drying agent my hair has experienced. The combination of salt water and sun actually bleached my brown hair to blonde when I was a teenager. :p

Thanks for the input. I have not tried the salt water spray and now I think I won't. I get so many pieces around my face that want to stick out when I updo. I don't like hairspray and saw a video about the "perfect ponytail" where the stylist sprayed with salt water to keep hair smooth.
