Wow! I wonder how they did it, I suppose it involves clever things with computers. My favourite one is bottom row, second from the left, it looks a bit like my dog. Very impressive though.

The one with the afghan hound hairhat has some really pretty eyes, too. I just noticed that. I wonder though, how bad for the hair that was! I can't imagine trying to convince my hair to hold a shape like that, LOL.

The girls look thrilled with their new hairdos.

Lol,that looks like something I would've tried when I was a teen. Now I'm an old lady(acording to dd) I dont think I would have the energy.:cheese: The styles look cool though.

That is hysterical. The deer's head, complete with antlers really cracked me up. Did I also spy an elephant?

That's definitely artwork--of a sort. :)

I think the styles are fake hair or extensions over a form. If you look at the rhino one, top row second from right, it looks like the model has a pixie. Also, the mink(?) one is a different hair color from the model.

Those look so cool, I want one! I wonder if a simpler version could be done with your own hair? Maybe just wrapping it around a headband or something for a new take on the term hair band? You could also get a plastic animal or make one out of foam and attach hair extensions in your own hair color.

yeah, the walrusy one, bottom row far right... the creature is dark, but the glimpse of her hair appears to be short, and is blonde, as are her eyebrows.

Islandgrrl, I was going to say that I think I can safely promise anything, even :cheese::cheese::cheese:! nom nom.
Now it seems we actually have a taker, I'll have to think about this! :frog:

I guess I could do an imitation with the help of an old teddy bear and some Photoshop... (the teddy would blend in perfectly, the way my hair looks right now... :silly:)

ETA: the pics are cool, BTW - although I must say, I would appreciate a smile on the girls' faces! Trying to look like la belle dame sans merci with a fox/reindeer/whatever on top of your head is kinda uncool.

Those animal faces seriously, and I mean seriously creep me out for some reason. :shudder: I've got the hair-formed animal heebie jeebies now.

No photoshopping. :nono:

I agree about the lack of smile. But you know how it is--the models are just there to show off the artwork--not themselves.

Wow! Surely those must be form of some sort. They due look cool-whatever they are.

Wow! So I guess they'll never have to say that their hair is a real rat's nest. They can just say it's a real rat!

That was fun . . . a little strange . . . perhaps a bit creepy . . . but a whole lot of fun.

Those hairstyles would look cool with some fashions by Betsey Johnson or Jean-Paul Gaultier. Otherworldly!

Oh, wow! Very weird! I do like the giraffe though, it looks adorable, even when made of hair...

that is really, really creepy...

I don't know what I'd do if I saw someone walking around with a fake-hair ANIMAL on their head...really...

I think it's fabulous! Except the Afghan, perhaps - too frizzy! ;) I especially like the elephant and giraffe ones.

I would be only too happy to wear something like that for a phantasmagoric forest picnic or a themed party... :D

I was looking for something totally unrelated and stumbled across this (http://www.geekologie.com/2008/06/these_animal_hairdos_are_turni.php). I just had to share!!!

I'm sure this is fake hair but the artist made the animals look realistic to me.

Incidentally, I still haven't found what I set out looking for

That's very...strange. I wonder how they did that, photoshop? Interesting, to say the least

Wow, those are...unusual. I'm not sure I like them although I do think the walrus (is it a walrus?) is pretty cool. The animals do look pretty cool, but I'm just not sure I'm ready for hair + animal headdress. Definitely an interesting idea, though!

Wow that is so cool! They looked really real lol, like very well done sculptures. But on people's heads... and made out of hair. Haha how bizarre, but neat too. XD

Oh and I agree, the guy who wrote the blog kinda did have issues lol...

I heard about this on the radio today as I was driving around. All I could think was weird- very weird. But looks surprisingly detailed.

Wow, very artistic! Altough they are certainly fake wigs, there must have been artistic work behind and it looks very good.

Thank's for sharing, I0m saving the pictures on my long hair collection hehe :p

When I saw the title I thought of the dog in Firehouse Dog that had extensions. I don't think personally I like the pictures - but to each his own.

The giraffe is probably my favorite. I wonder how they did that! All of them, not just the giraffe ;-)
