So i'm home from college for the holidays, & since i forgot my shower head that purifies my water [i always forget something! :p ], my hair & skin has been subjected to the hard water we have at my house. i don't believe that it is as bad as the water down where i go to school, since there i always see that white streak or mineral residue left behind on dishes or cups. but, i can tell that my hair isn't as...well, healthy, vibrant, or doesn't feel as clean nor moisturized as it is with the purfied water.
i searched around for this & did find some stuff, & i know that over time hard water can turn my blonde hair maybe slightly more red, or brassy at least, & that ACV rinses help get rid of the left behind minerals. but, my question to everyone is, is this hard water going t truly set me back? my hair has been extremely healthy [just got a trim too!], & also it's pale blonde highlighted so if i do use an ACV rinse, i know that it can tinge tresses red-ish. should i use just white vinegar? i know it doesn't have the apple pulp or whatever that makes ACV slightly more superior, but i don't want to have to get my hair lightened either since i'm spacing my highlighting/lightening to stretch for months [i'll do it again...in late March]. any tips for this type of water while i'm here? thanks :)
