One Amazing Year at LHC! (Pic Heavy)

To celebrate my anniversary, I am donating to LHC as my gift to myself and all of you, my friends, who have made this year an incredible, wonderful adventure!

It has been an amazing journey with lots of fun successful and not-so-successful experiments, a single microtrim in June (until tomorrow anyway), all kinds of new hairtoys and updos, and almost a year of no heat styling of any kind (Christmas Day will be a year).

I have made some wonderful friends, learned so much about kindness and acceptance, have helped others and been helped by others, and have shared some of myself with you all.

I grew from just barely below BSL to solid hip!

Thanks to everyone who has been so helpful, everyone who has made me laugh or cry, everyone who has grown longer or cut shorter or dyed or hennaed or embraced silvers! Thanks to our wonderful mods and admins who volunteer their time to our community, and thanks most of all to all of you, my friends, who make LHC such a lovely place!

You have become my inspiration. As I watch my almost entirely white hair grow down my head I wonder what it will look like in 2 years (at my 40th birthday) and now I know! Your hair is just gorgeous. The length, the colour, the texture. I don't know if my hair would ever be so beautiful, but you've given me something to shoot for. Thanks so much for taking all those photos and keeping accurate dates. I think your hair must grow very fast too as it has reached hip in no time at all. Your hair grew a LOT.. do you know how many inches you gained? It looks like your growth rate is faster than average :D

Thank you, xoxophelia! I stopped measuring with a tape when I could never get the same measurement twice in a row, so I just use landmarks on my back to chart my growth. If I had to guess, I'd say about 6 inches, which is about average. The reason I made it from just below BSL to hip so quickly is that I am short from shoulder to hip. But I am looooong of leg which will make my journey from hip to knee (if I decide to go that far) that much longer. *sigh*
