View Full Version : What bun is this?

I'll explain what I've done...
Hold hair as if to make a ponytail and then place a hairstick vertically through the center of it. (so it 'stabs' your neck)
Still hold as a ponytail and Twist hairstick clockwise until hair becomes tight and secure. Flip hairstick so it faces the opposite side.
(So it's secure. So you have to secure the hair stick while flipping it.)
Wrap ends round and pin. End result down there .... (Jumper to hide room for privacy) Any clues? :eyebrows:

ETA: NO it was Clockwise :D

ETA 2 : If you turn the bun anti-clockwise it looks really different.

No idea what it's called, but it sounds like the first bun I've ever done that involved a hairstick. A friend in highschool taught me how. Only without the use of pins.

Cool! Anyone else heard of it? I just made it up! Has anyone seen it before?

Help a little duck out! <(*)

ETA: I'd also like to add that I've just repeated doing the bun and it's turned out abit different. So it varies. The whole point is the technique used in the bun.
ETA2: Ignore the above post - It was because of me turning the roast duck the wrong way round!

I've heard it called Twist on a Stick.

I shall henceforth refer to it as the Roast Duck . . . a good companion to the Pork Bun (^(oo)~)
