Hello LHC :waves:
I completely missed my three year anniversary here, so I am posting a little bit before my three and a half year mark. :D
My senior year of high school I decided I wanted to grow my hair out. It was a little below shoulder length, untamed and probably more than a bit damaged from rough handling.
I began lurking at LHC after I realized that haircuts every three months were not allowing my hair to grow like my hairdresser at the time told me.
I joined right after I graduated from high school and I am so happy I did. My hair has flourished under the techniques I have learned here. I've gone from just above APL to hip length with a hemline I adore. (I spent a long time growing out layers and a tenacious v-shaped hemline). I learned about hair-sticks, coconut oil and the trusty cinnabun as well as countless other tips and tricks :cheese: In total, I've cut off about 10-12 inches.
I know this is a hair post (and don't worry, there are pictures) but I just wanted to thank all of you wonderful people of LHC. This community not only helped me through a really tough period in my life but encouraged me to flourish. I am so thankful I can be a part of it. :grouphug:
So thanks LHC, and I hope there are many more years of growing ahead.
Next stop, tailbone!
This is my progress after one year. July 2008
