View Full Version : Dyeing my hair!

December 16th, 2010, 09:57 AM
I have finally decided to dye my hair again, but with chemical dyes to see what will happen since my hair seems to have changed. Some may remember the thread that I put up saying my hair is resistant to dyes, and it is... but I'm being stubborn and have to see it again to believe it! :blossom: I'll post before and after pictures when it's done today =]

Okay, I'm back... and silly me, I left the dye in my hair a little longer than I was supposed to... oh well? I'm due for another trim soon so I'll take care of my ends then.

It really is more of a drastic change in person, and where the light is on my roots, that's the color of it now :crush:

The color suits your skin tone very well! I don't know the name of it though..

Thanks! The shade of red is a bit darker than the lead singer from Paramore's hair color (Hayley Williams is her name, you can google her) but I adore it, and love that it makes me look more pale :blossom:

thank you guys! I'm happy with the color, hopefully it stays well, and the little bit of damage I have was worth it. :cheese:

It looks great! I love the color, and it complements your skin tone really well!

I wouldn't worry so much about leaving the dye on for a little too long. I used to dye my hair, and I would leave the dye in too long on purpose. As long as I conditioned a lot and trimmed the ends, it was fine.

Congratulations! :)

Beautiful color! I used to dream of one day waking up with hair that color. :)

It looks great on you.

Thank you very much! :blossom: all of you :D

I'm thinking of trimming it in a few days or so (the 21st probly), and then I'm dying it over again next month to try and get a brighter red :) I figured it out, I need 3 boxes of dye for my thick hair, and I'll have to leave it on for about 45 min to almost an hour... (yikes?), but I'll do it the day before I'm going to trim :)
