I am broke so, although I love to look at all of the great hair toys on here, I won't be able to afford to buy anything for a LONG time (nursing student here! LOL) Does anyone make their own hair sticks, forks, etc? I know there are members who make and sell hair toys on etsy and the like... I am not trying to start a business or anything... I just want to make a few pretty things to decorate my hair and keep it in place!

I have heard about using a knitting needle to make a hair fork of sorts and chopsticks for hair sticks.... any other ideas that have been floating around? Any tips, tutorials, etc that anyone has would be much appreciated!
