So my hair has always been pretty straight/wavy. Somedays it's wavier than others, with a few curls.

This is a pretty accurate representation of what my hair has ALWAYS looked like:

So after reading around LHC for awhile, I decided that I wanted to try CO, so I started that about three weeks ago, following with an ACV rinse. That's the only new thing I've done...

About a week in, my hair was slightly more wavy:

And with every CO wash, it's been curlier and curlier... fast forward to today:

Is it possible that my hair has like... completely changed textures just from this small change in my routine??

What type would you call that???

Wow, I'm not sure as to why it's gotten curlier, but it looks great! :)

Moisturizing your hair can do that!

That's cool! You have lovely curls.
You're a curlie, sister, and you'll have to live with it :D

I guess maybe your hair was lacking moisture, that resulting in frizz. After you started CO it got balance and power and went for its natural form?

That is some fierce hair you have. Maybe that's your hair's way of saying "thank you" for your new routine.

Wow, that looks great! :) My hair just gets straighter with moisture and length. Maybe CO is my next thing.

Your hair looks great! CO washing definately does encourage curls. Do a google search on the "Curly Girl" Method by Lorraine Massey. This method has lots of tips to encourage hair's maximum curl potential.

Welcome to the world of curly hair! :D

I had the same thing happen when I started CO-ing. I was convinced my hair was 1b/1c. Turns out, not so much with the straight hair when I CO. It definitely takes some getting used to, but now I  my wurls, and I'm sure you will, too.

Its definatly possible to change textures with a hair routine change. My hair has gotten straighter and straighter as it gets healthier. It has gone from 3a/b when I heat styled it to death in high school to 2a/b as I startes taking care of it. Now it is about a 1b after cutting off all of the dry damaged ends.

Id put you at a solid 2c not B, COing does tend to do this espeically if you thought before your hair was frizzy! looks fantastic!

Yep, you're definitely one of us! http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b23/ImaHockeyMom/boards/emoticons/neener-1.gif Welcome to the curlyhood! :cheese:

I'm not sure if you did a "wash and air dry without touching it" for that last photo, so not sure on the typing, but I'd put you in the 2b/2c range from what I can see!

Ookey, might have to take this statement back! Today I have more waves (almost curls, some ringlets) that I have ever had without styling it.

Did CWC, ACV and coconut oil in wet hair, air dried. It`s only my fourth time doing CWC, and first time using coconut oil in wet hair. But it did feel very moisturised when wet, and I did a deep conditioning with EVOO before last wash (did not curl then). Maybe my hair has finally gotten the moisture it needs? (That would be a miracle...) Hope it stayes this way :) Hairdressers always tell me I have a lot of waves, but most of it goes away when it dries, so I know I have the potential.

My hair is a lot like yours. I think it's from product build up that weighs down the hair. I often see a huge change when I switch from my cones to an organic moisture-rich condish. My curls have a little more bounce and define spiral.

You were always a true curly girl and the new routine is promoting the curls. You have such adorable curls!!! I would say you are a 2c. Enjoy your curls girl ;)
