Hi all.
About 3 weeks ago I dyed my hair blond (or tried). I hennaed earlier this year so the blond turned out a strawberry blond cast which does nothing for my skin tone.
I have just dealt with it because I didn't want to do anything immediately to it since dying with permanent dye is already bad enough for my curls.

So I have some questions:

How long should I wait to dye?
I am thinking of redoing the color with semi or demi permanent brunette dye...will this work?
I also wanted to eventually incorporate blond/carmel high lights around my face so about how long should I wait to do this?

Thank you!

Have you considered using a toner?
Hair Toner: TONING HAIR TIPS AND TECHNIQUES (http://www.style-hair-magazine.com/hair-toner.html)
And then possibly some Cassia Obovata (http://www.mehandi.com/shop/cassiaobovatabuy.html).

Yes, I have used toners in the past. I would just prefer to go back brunette completely so I can get as close to my natural color and then grow out and just add high lights as the hair grows.

Depending on certain factors, I might suggest getting a professional consultation, but that's just me.
At least do lots of strand tests :) I hate having my hair a colour that I don't like! I'm sorry and I hope you get yours fixed up right.

In that case you can go brunette without harming your hair with Henna/Indigo. Kathie had success with it, you can ask her how she did it. She does keep a blog (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/blog.php?u=29145) so that might answer most of your questions.
But this is in her signature and you can see the results:

Indigo over bleached hair turned my grey-green. I can chalk some of this up to inexperience, but I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this phenomenon...

You know I always thought so too, but Kathie obviously didn't have that problem so she must be doing something right. *shrug*

I know, I hear some people have no issues. I had a bleach blonde streak at the front of my hair. It wasn't a lot so I figured even if it did change colour it would be no big deal. I was sorta hoping it wouldn't though, but after the hendigo applications sure enough it was a dark gray/green shade. Even atfer another 2 applicaitons of Ancient Sunrise henna, in the high light I can still see it :(

aenflex, I did some searching around and found this link that might help out with the green: How to get rid of green hair (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=5270).

I really hope you find something helpful in there. :)
