:) Not all hair oils are the same and I find myself liking oil for different reasons. So im interested to see what is your favourite for each purpose.

Hair Growth (getting longer hair)

Preventing Hair loss

Hair thickness (making hair thicker)

Silky, soft hair

Favourite Oil overall

:D I have tried Amla, Coconut and Jasmine and I have to say so far my favourite is Coconut, its light oil and does the job. Im going to try other oils out too.

I've tried a lot of oils, specially when I was introduced to the hair boards. I'm going to choose plain simple olive oil (EVOO), because it makes my hair the softess. When I used on scalp a lot I did notice a slight increase in growth. The other features I didn't notice a change with any oil.

The "adored" coconut oil makes my hair crunchy, other than that no other was "bad" for me.

Hmmm I love coconut oil generally! Like you said its light and does the job! Not to mention it smells yummy! :D

I also like olive oil as a deep treatment! Makes my hair feel so soft and shiny after! :) I can't say I have a specific oil for each purpose but I hear some people use castor oil for hair regrowth?

As i've not tried it myself I can't comment on it! Sorry hope I was a little bit f help though! :)

I have tried a few, Jojoba, Olive, and Tee Tree Oil. I have found that overall I prefer Jojoba Oil. It makes my hair soft and shiny.

Hair Growth (getting longer hair)
Don't have one
Preventing Hair loss
Don't have one

Silky, soft hair
Grapeseed oil because it's very light and doesn't grease up my hair
Favourite Oil overall
Coconut oil because it is heavy and feels most nourishing; usually greasy hair is not an issue with my perpetual bunning.

To me 'Hair' oil is different than 'Scalp' oil. Hair oil is what I use on my length to condition. It really has nothing to do with growth for me. So most of my answers are scalp :)

Hair Growth (getting longer hair): I have always been fond of adding some Rosemary EO to carrer oil and using that for scalp massage, it's very stimulating.

Preventing Hair loss: I have always been fond of adding some Rosemary EO to carrer oil and using that for scalp massage, it's very stimulating.

Hair thickness (making hair thicker) - Never noticed any oil really plumping up individual strands. In terms of actually speeding up newly growing hairs, again I'm voting for Rosemary EO, maybe some Lavender EO in a nice carrier.

Silky, soft hair: Coconut, Camellia, Mango seed butter

Favourite Oil overall: Coconut

(I have plugged before some scalp oil from GOW and all of the ingredients were already very commononly used but for salicylic acid. I did some research and while for the skin it is very good, I am unsure about using it on my scalp. Which is why I haven't mentioned it here)

I love Jojoba, Coconut, and Olive Oil! I'll always use those! I switch them up every now and then.

I have to admit i haven't tried very many.
I use Olive Oil as a pre-wash set in for like a half an hour then wash & condition my hair normally.

And then Coconut oil as my leave in.

I like them both, they make my hair soft and shiny, and not dry at all.

So far my all around oil is coconut. I am going to try jojoba next since I read so many good things about it.

I've been using Nightblooming's hair oil (http://www.etsy.com/listing/62948427/triple-moon-hair-anointing-oil-4oz-full) for about a week now.

It's amazing! :happydance:

It's my first hair oil and it's made my curls look gorgeous. I put a tiny drop on my hands and rake it through my dry hair before going out. Love love love it! :D
