I am going to cut my waist length hair

But all I want is to get a U shape with some framing of my face I was looking at pictures and I just felt overwhelmed by the celeb photos. I don't see anyone with hair near as long as mine and I don't want more than two inches off of the length. Does anyone know of a nice photo that shows the cut I am talking about I just want to show it to the stylist...

I like a U hemline too, spidermom has a lovely U but she is uber long, I am going to go for a U when I get to TB length as I feel like im wearing a cape with my blunt. but I naturally go to a V when I dont trim and im on a year no trim route.

If you're up to try trimming yourself, Feye's Self Trim Method has very easy instructions to do a U shaped hemline on yourself. I tried it and it turned out very nice!

Take any picture you find that shows the shape you want. Emphasize that this is the shape you want, not the length.

Make sure you are comfortable that you and the stylist both understand what you want.

Jean Grey from X-Men has some beautiful long layered hair. I always thought if I wanted layers, I'd get them like hers.
