I got my hair twister! It's a large size, gold, 12". My ponytail sticks out like a stinger. :D It's fun, though! I've decorated the top with a hair tie I made a while back

Here's where I bought it.

And a couple more pictures. One is how it sticks out. After a while, I think it went down a little. My hair wants to move upward at all times, so no surprise there. The other is a picture showing its lean to left, *giggle*

that's very cool! It seems like it might be dangerous though, if you turned too fast! is it very solid or somewhat flexible?

looks great on you! :)

Thanks! It is pretty solid. Yeah, I turned my head in the bathroom and it banged against the door. If that had been a person and not a door, it might have hurt them! It is just flexible enough so it's not hard to wrap around your hair, but it is pretty solid and sturdy.

I can imagine it would be tricky to wear in everyday life, but it looks really cool and a little bit sci-fi too!

That looks really interesting, mwedzi! I agree with enfys that it looks rather SF-ish. :)
I suspect something like that would slide out of my hair, though. How is it fastened?

I have a (very small) one of these, and I have no idea how it holds! You just twist your hair, twist the metal around it (kind of like you're making a rope braid), and it stays! My hair is about 5 inches long at the moment, and the one I have stayed in for hours, even after walking, and wearing a hat!

Very cool! I didn't know anyone made bigger ones! The ones I saw at the Ren Faire were all pretty small (although some were longer than others).

Thanks, guys!

The top of it has a hook, and you slide the hook onto your ponytail holder.

The challenge for my hair is to keep it from not shrinking inside this spiral tube. My hair is very coiled naturally, and will shrink up without being held taut. So when my ponytail reached the end, I pulled out the ends and wrapped them around the last spiral, then bobby pinned them in place.

I would say this is not comfortable to wear because it sticks out. I get the feeling, though, that it wouldn't stick out for hair that was naturally straight.

Kajikodomo, the site I bought from makes all sizes. They are cute.
