Hair is wavier than I thought!

So, the last time I tried to hair type myself was a few months ago, when my hair was shorter (only shoulder length), and decided on 1c. Now after I did a shampoo only, my hair came out VERY wavy! There were almost large, loose "spiral" type formations. It's so cool! What do you think my hair type is now?

I'm going to say about 2b.... it's gorgeous!

Very pretty! Maybe you'll end up all the way at 2C before it's over. Loose spirals need length to form; that's what happened with me. Your hair looks about 2A to me right now, but I think that's going to change.

I see 1c or 2a, but I think the waves are too elongated to be 2b ...I think 2b waves are supposed to look similar to braid waves.
Either way, it's very pretty and shiny and the color is gorgeous!

And I understand completely about not realizing the extent of the waves in your hair. I had no idea that mine was the same way until I began taking photos and looking at it from the back....:o

Are there some kind of benefits from doing shampoo only that I have never heard of? Sounds scary to the untrained hair junkie.

Thanks guys and gals...

The reason I did shampoo only is because my hair has been acting very strangely lately....gets very oily and I have a scalp infection. :( So I didn't feel a need to use conditioner at the time. I felt my hair and scalp needed some clarifying.
