I adore my cat, really, but my cat is a bit eccentric. He misses my old roommate, and gets lonely. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, and my cat is at the head of the bed, trying to 'groom' my hair.
I read online that cats groom other cats as a sign of deference, so, I guess that means that my cat respects me, and thinks I am his 'alpha' cat?
I try to discourage him from doing it, because it disrupts my sleep, but the other thing is, my gut feeling is that this cannot be good for my hair. His tongue is really rough.
Do I need to start wearing a hat to bed?
