As your hair grows longer & longer , did you notice any change in thickness?
was your hair:
more thicker ?
more thinner?
stayed the same?
Im just curious as im only at APL/BSL so I really don't know what to expect, before my hair was always cut to APL so this will be the first time, where I have to monitor if my hair thickness changes and it will also be something new to me, taking care of longer hair.

it is getting a bit thinner, thats why i need my trim every now and then. Usually every 7 to 12 months. 1 inch will do.

The thickness has stayed the same. But to me it feels thicker because there's more hair!

Poop. Mine always gets thinner as it grows, historically, since as far back as I recall. But whatever. I'm resolute. I'm growing it out and when it gets to BSL, then I will start worrying about thickening it up :)

If anything, the top of my ponytail is slightly thicker. Not much different, though. The ends get thinner as it gets longer, but that's to be expected, as a smaller percentage of the hairs are grown all the way to the ends when it takes that many more years to reach the ends.

Mine has got thicker, I was 3.5 inches circumference when I joined at shoulder length in Aug 07. My increase in thickness could be due to numerous things such as not straightening it (or flattening it), using cones which my hair hated until I got to past bsl, not using a hairdryer plus I now use henna and my hairs circumference is now 4.6 inches. Who knows my hair might have always been this thick but more natural methods have allowed it to reach its thickness potential.
This is a link to my hair when I very first joined http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/album.php?albumid=354&pictureid=29006 my recent one is my siggi!
Though I wouldn't be surprised if my hair got a little thinner as it gets longer but thats ok too theres loads on here with beautiful fine hair.

Thickness doesn't change but the longer your hair is the more weighed down it is, so it might appear thinner.

My hair has stayed pretty much consistent throughout gorwing it, as in, my ends are still nice and thick.

My hair has always been very thick so the difference in thickness was only ever been noticeable to me and my mother (who did my hair sometimes).
When my hair was longer, it was thickest on my head and gradually got thinner to the ends where a few strands were longer than the others (cause they were the fastest growers.) But of course, when I trimmed it, it was more even throughout.

I think it depends on a lot of things like the routines, how gentle you handle your hair, hair type, and also maybe age.....when i was a lot younger, even with less care, my hair was pretty much the same thickness through out the length but now, even with the most gentleness, i still see a lot of thinning as it grows plus my hair is straight. which means my hair is not strong enough and breaks easily half way through....

My nape circumference hasn't changed but my hair definitelly gets thinner the longer it gets. (It goes from very thin at the nape to barely there at the ends.)

The ends are the only part of it that I have noticed to change any, and they have gotten thinner. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that I haven't cut my hair in over three years, but it makes me curious if I would still have thin ends if I trimmed regularly. I guess I will find out once I start trimming after reaching goal : )

Ends are getting thinner, but they are old so it's normal:D Generally my hair got thicker, thanks to LHC and good hair care methods I have found here;) So, though I expected it would go thinner and thinner, it got thicker, as I have new growth :)

My ponytail get thicker, but my ends get thinner because I stop cutting my hair! :)

My nape/ponytail circumference has always been close to the same.

Thinner at the ends..but that was to be expected because each hair grows at a slightly different rate than its neighbor.
The hair in the nape area became slightly thicker.
I usually trim it every 4 months or so to even up the ends and to give it a more full bodied look.

The longer it gets, the thinner it is near the bottom. I think a large percentage of my hairs have a terminal length between waist and hip.

so far it's gotten thicker, but i think thats because i stop using chemicals in my hair. im expecting it to get thinner due to medical issue that i could be having

Gets thinner ! As a child, I had very very thick hair, but as I get older, and so as my hair grows, it gets thinner, especially the ends !

With me the ends got thinner the longer it gets but from nape to tailbone it stays the same.

Thinner. My canopy and nape are pretty much terminal at about 20 inches, so any length after that is much thinner. Add to this... much within that growing group is also reaching terminal. So yes, I wisp out quickly. It never used to be this way... I wish there was a refresh button.
