Time to start the measure-in thread for this month!

Overall hair: 40.5
Virgin Length: 11.5

Overall is close to last month, but at least the virgin length is longer. :)

How did you all do?

BelleBot
November 1st, 2010, 02:38 AM
37 3/4 this month. Same as last month but I've done a 1/2 inch trim since then, so that's half an inch of growth, much better than my usual 1/4 inch per month. :)

I'm at 45.3". I trimmed about 0.6" a few days ago.

42.5“!!!!! I couln't care a lot about my hair for the few past months, but I'm glad to see it's growing anyway. :p For sure I'll reach Classical by February or March! The closer I get to my goal, the more I think that I'll keep growing past it. Why should I stop in such a good way, anyway? :cheese:

Yay! I'm a tiny little more than 40 inches this month and at my classic length goal!

November 1st, 2010, 05:06 AM
I had no growth this month and am still at 45.7". I kind of expected it though since I had a lot of growth last month and for me that always means I get less/no growth the next month. My hair has also been very dry and I've noticed more damage than normal. :(

Vermelha

23", after three trims this year. I'm aiming for 29" by this time next year, given I don't incur any damage.

Ahem.

First measure since starting over. Meh.

A whopping 14" and the only reason I'm posting it is because that way I'll have an actual record of when I started and where. LOL....

16.5" to start off this lovely November.

The first of October I was at 34.5 inches. On the 22nd it measured 35.5. Today it was measured at 35.5. I didn't trim this month as I have the past 4, to thicken my hemline. Haven't decided if I'll dust again this month or let it go till next. 3-Nov-2010 Edit - I decided in the evening of the 1st that I would do an evening up, hem thickening dusting of about 3/8 inch. This morning my son kindly measured for me again and said it is 35 inches, with a few hairs at 35.5. I'm definitely happier with the hemline now!

34 3/4" I think I trimmed a smidge in October but I can't remember. I'll have to look in my blog. I gained 1/4"

32 Inches :cheese: slowly but surely.

Angeletti
November 1st, 2010, 09:18 AM
I would say 40.5. I have a few hairs that reach 41 but I'll just call it 40.5 due to my non blunt hemline making it difficult to measure properly.

StarryNight
November 1st, 2010, 10:27 AM
I'm still at 28.5 inches, which would be no growth :(
I have been trying to loose weight, so I think this may have something to do with my lack of growth.

49.5" -- or up 0.5"! Just the one hair (but so it's been and probably will be for a while!), and hopefully it's going 'up' again...even if might end up stuck at 49.5" for a while now...

Fayjoi
November 1st, 2010, 11:14 AM
Almost 32 inch, so a steady 1/2 inch of growth. And about 1/2 inch to go till waist :cheese:

I had an inch trim to even out the ends alittle. I'm now back at 28.1" :)

SheaLynne
November 1st, 2010, 01:37 PM
I did my usual 0.25-inch trim, and I'm at 36.75 now. I'm creeping along, but the ends are continually thicker and healthier, so the trimming is still worth it!

I measured 71 cm today, and 1 months ago I was 70,50 cm! Only half a cm in a month? Grrrr, that's so not motivating!

Where does everyone measure from? Is there a standard? Is it easy to measure yourself, or do you need someone else to help?

mellie89
November 1st, 2010, 04:15 PM
I'm at 24 inches. I trimmed about a half-inch this month to even out my hemline and thicken up the ends a bit, so I didn't gain any growth, but it looks a heck of a lot better.

sarahbrownie
November 1st, 2010, 04:18 PM
1/2in. last month! Up from 24 to 24.5!

Vermelha
November 1st, 2010, 04:21 PM
I'm at 23" after a recent trim. I've got some layers to grow out, which may take some time, but I think I'm done trimming for now. Also, today is the start of a new routine for me, so I'm glad I took these pictures on my first day.

Sorry, took the picture down. It was huge! Check out the profile instead. Thx!

22.5 inches. I trimmed an inch a week ago. No trimming for a long time now. :)

I am still at 30 inches this month. No measurable growth. 1 to 1.5 inch to go til waist and 6 inches to tailbone, my next goal.

My hair's down past my mouth now, and equally as long all over! It's just starting to feel like it's not short hair anymore, and I love it. I'm waiting until May 2011, and then getting it trimmed more one length, but still leaving a bit of the natural layering in.

I am at 44.5 inches. I am shedding horribly from stress right now. I'm starting to get worried. :(

26.5". I've gained a 1/2 inch since last time I measured. I seem to be growing at a very steady 1/2" per month. I have to admit, it's a little underwhelming. :?

I measure from the very front of my hairline to the bottom of my longest hair in the back.

Still at 22.5 inches. I got a trim last month, of about an inch. So I am just now getting back to the same length I was a few months ago.

My first measure-in!!! Hair is just over 9 inches, not quite 9 1/2.
Do you all measure by yourselves, or do you have someone do it for you?

<3OnHerSleeve
November 1st, 2010, 10:04 PM
my hair's grown 1/2 in, but at the fringe/bangs it's grown 1 inch in the past month or so. I'm very happy with this because although it's average for most people, I have unusually slow growth. So I'm very happy. so now I'm coming to near 1 in all over of regrowth as I'm quitting dying my hair.

26.5", absolutely rock steady at 1/2 inch per month. I can't complain, as it is average, and it isn't stalling or anything!
DH measured last night and wanted to know if I wanted the measurement where most of the ends were or to where that one hair was at 29" or something...alas, I had to tell him it was just a shed hair. ;)
I should be at waist, or at least can-I-call-this-waist by Christmas! My stated goal length in my profile is 30", which is past waist but maybe not quite to hip. Maybe another six months? Then I'll just have to see where I want to go from there!

I measured at 20 inches today! I've officially hit the 20's and I'll be here for quite a while. I think I'm .5" right now, but usually my growth speeds up during the coldest months, so I'm crossing my fingers! Only 2 or so more inches to go until APL :D

39" !!!! I just ignored it for a while and BOOM...39"....feels really good!!! I get growth spurts in the fall...

I'm at 25". That's one inch of growth since I joined LHC in June. It might have been more than that, but I had a trim in September and the stylist took too much off.

24", pretty amazing since i don't have to change it here. I last measured probably just before i cut it to APL, so it's already BSL and i wasn't even watching!

I measured in the last half of Oct, and came up with 50.25.

This month so far I'm at 50.5. Which means I have still managed to gain 1/4", even with the weekly trimming of 1/8". Not super happy with this...

First post and first time to measure . . . I just cut a couple of inches off last week and realized I'm not happy with the health of my hair. So here I am, ready to start learning how to take care of my 34.5 inch long hair!

Jessicaa
November 5th, 2010, 09:48 AM
I just measured and my hair is now 26", which means I have grown an inch since last month! I have some layers that need to grow out but luckily my hair has always grown at a fast pace. It's a lot healthier now than it has been in a long time too! Keeep on growing hair! :cheese:

StephanieB
November 9th, 2010, 09:04 AM
My hair measured at 23 1/8 inches :cheese: and is finally about halfway between APL and BSL! :D

Another inch and a half-ish to go to reach BSL... WOOT!!

28 inches.

I was 16.5 inches when I joined in January 2008. I measured my hair yesterday at 30 inches and gave myself a trim to 28 inches. Very happy with my growth. :)

I measured for the first time ever on November 18. I was at 23.25 inches then. I'll measure again in a few days to see if my hair has grown any measurable amount in a week.

30"- just shy of waist. I was at 32" this morning, but I had some bad split ends/floofy growth that I had to get trimmed off. At least now my ends are healthy and blunt! I have 4" to go until my goal or just brushing the waistband of my jeans (longish hip). Should be there by next summer, if not sooner- my hair grows about 3/4" per month.

Heh, I just realized I wasn't measuring the same way a lot of you are. I've been trying to measure root to tip on my longest strands instead of the over-the-head method. Going over-the-head, I'm actually at 28 inches!

christine1989

I measure root to tip too and my hair is at 19.5 inches as of today.
