Good morning fellow long hairs. I haven't posted in ages(busy with midterms and such), but still try and make time to stop by and look at all the lovely heads of hair once in a while. Anywhoo, I took my braids out and behold-a massive mound o'hair lol. Although my hair felt fuller, I was afraid it hadn't grown much until I pulled on the ends and... Voila! I think I'm seeing progress. I can't compare it to my straight-hair photos because my natural texture is obviously eating up some of the length I've gained. I think I've hit waist. What say you?:pray:http://s867.photobucket.com/albums/ab235/pierrefelixma/Hair%20Growth-10-29-2010/
p.s. Sorry the pics are so darn large-I have to learn how to re-size them.

Lovely hair...I assume you are natural? Either way it looks great - this is always what I picture when I think of true mermaid hair.

yep, I'm natural, though I do straighten my hair with a pressing(hot) comb every once in a while. Thank you for the kind words!

I would call that waist length. Your hair is so pretty, I love the texture!

On the re-sizing issue, I have a photobucket account and photobucket has an edit feature for pictures. I'll load up the picture and resize it to the size I want and then save it back on my computer before loading it up here. Hope that helps.

thanks dragonmyst for the compliment! I used try and "tame" my hair but have since given up and opted for embracing the 'fro.

Amazing! I bet its hard to grow your hair type that long so even more kudos on getting to waist!

I'd say you're there! That's the one frustrating thing about curly hair--seems to take forever to grow. Since coming to LHC I've learned a lot about embracing my curls, which is a good thing, but growth seems sooooo slow. I have to pull it straight sometimes so I can see that it really is growing faster than I think it is.

Your hair is a-mazing! :D

thank you all for all the wonderful and supportive comments. While growing my hair type and other Afro-textured hair types is relatively similar to growing hair of straighter textures, it is definitely harder to retain the length that people with my hair type get.
