Help me out girls.. I have been rushing around all day attempting to create a costume at the last minute. The Halloween party is tomorrow (completely forgot and was reminded today) and I am wearing a slashed up white dress, white over the knee socks with black bows and black heels with a load of fake blood everywhere... I think I'm a ghoul?? or girly zombie or something hehe...

I have experimented tonight with two french braids going into a pony tail that is then pushed back through itself (like a gibson tuck but all the way through) and that looks okish.. but i want something WOW.. In the pre-LHC days I would have curled/back combed and hairsprayed to no end..

Any ideas would be amazing!

Cheers!

Be careful with whatever you decide - that it will be safe around fire... candles come to mind. It would be such a shame to burn off parts of your hair!

I agree sprayed into shape seems most likely the way to go, and it *will* wash out... ;)

Safe around fire?? hehe I think our halloween parties may be a little different seeing as its almost bushfire season and its total fire ban most days :P

how about snake waves? then you can do pretty much anything with it, half up, high pigtails, or leave it down for some wow waves.

I'd go for lots (well... 8 or so) of braids in wet hair overnight. Brush out when dry. Great halloween hair!

Perhaps use styrofoam support underneath instead of backcombing. Not sure what shape you had in mind, buy the sky's the limit and they're super cheap!

I think you just described my "normal" hair when brushed! :D

I'd just wear a wig. I love wigs on Halloween!! They are lots of fun and give you a chance to change things up without messing up your hair.

My mum just finished chemotherapy so she has HEAPS of wigs.. but she lives about an hour away and I don't have time to go there, grab one, and go to the party...

And I wouldn't want to get any fake blood on the wig...

The really sad part is that I wasn't TRYING to make it into "big hair" -- I just brushed it out in the normal fashion prior to my first henna application.

Bun mohawk? (http://naturelle-chic.blogspot.com/2010/08/tutorials-loc-bun-mohawk-tutorial.html)

The girl in the tutorial has locs, but you get the idea. Bee-butt buns in a line down the middle of your head. Could be fun.
