Reading the henna gloss info a reference is made to non-cone conditioner. I feel stupid asking but ... what on earth is that? I have bottles of conditioner and want to know which would be the best for an upcoming henna gloss on a friend. Thanks.

Cones are silicones. Things that coat the hair and smooth it. There are very mixed opinions about the use of cones. I love them. Others don't.
There are lots, dimethicone is one, but they all end in the word 'cone', so look at your ingredients and see if you've got em.

Thanks for the clarification. I really would have never figured that out. Now I 'll go check some of my favorites to see if I like them or not. Much appreciate the information - Regards.

Anything with the suffix "-cone" or "xane" is a silicone. I always avoid the "-xanes" because they have a tendency of drying hair out.
