View Full Version : A sort of wrapped plait/braid

I found this video and I thought it looks like a very simple and easy way of protecting your hair (e.g. to protect from wind damage or for sleeping in). It's not really a plait; you're just wrapping the hair like this:

The downside is that it looks like it would take a LONG TIME and also you would need a REALLY MASSIVE length of ribbon!

Ooh. I bet you could do it with a much wider ribbon, though, and it wouldn't take too long. You'd need the ribbon to be double-sided, but that's not so hard. I may have to try this.

Do it backwards (where the ribbon - or bandana - stays the same and you wrap the hair) and you get sweet curls with no heat!

I once made a dog's leash using a similar technique. Its simple to do with leather straps, but with hair and ribbon? I think its worth a try. :agree:
