Ok, following on from my nightmare cut. [Click below]

The top layers are long - lets say 10 inches. My sideburn hair is about the same. My bottom layers at the back of my head is 1, yes ONE inch!

How would you recommend I grow this out?

My stylist said it'll be fine because it is 'underneath', but in all honesty the lack of hair at the back is making the rest of the hair puffy, and odd looking. No longer does the hair hold shape.

I'm having a hard time picturing this, but it kind of sounds like a bob (top layers long, back cut very short at the nape of the neck). That does sound kind of weird for a guy, but it's usually a pretty good cut to grow out from as it won't take on that mullet look (back long and straggly looking, top and front short).

I would recommend chosing a length to maintain it at until the lengths are close enough that it doesn't bother you.
