I thought I was a wavy but my husband insists that I'm straight haired. What do you think?

I think your hair type may be 1c/2a, lovely hair you have there. :)

id say 1b/c as you have slight waves, 2a's normally have the start of S waves, however have you tried CO washing or trying going cone free? I would not be surprised if your hair is really in the 2's range, do you get frizz at all?

Thanks for the replies!

Up until two months ago, I was seriously abusing my hair with harsh shampoo, rubbing it dry with a towel, blow drying until 100% dry, and flat ironing it. My hair used to be really dry and would set in deep waves unless I ironed it.

Now I've done a complete about face in my hair care. I tried no poo with baking soda and vinegar for several weeks, but that just contributed to the damage. Now I'm starting my 4th week doing WO with one egg wash in that time. I've gotten rid of the blow drier and flat iron and I no longer touch my hair at all until completely dry. I now have very little frizz.

The difference these changes to my hair routine have made have been dramatic. My hair is actually LESS wavy than it was when I was using the flat iron. I've done some deep conditioning in the past few weeks and that has also helped my hair relax into a more natural state. I find it ironic that the look I have now is what I was trying to achieve with all the products and heat styling, but I really just needed to leave it alone and let my hair do it's own thing
