Hi everyone!

I've done a search and I couldn't find anything on this Web site, nor have I seen any other LHCers mention this place. ^.^

Whilst browsing through Rapunzel's Resource, I stumbled upon another interesting blog dedicated to hairstyles for long hair. It is called Hair Friendly Styles (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/) and is full of great ideas. There are a lot of styles that are very familiar, but this person also gives instructions on how to do some styles, especially braids, that I have never seen before. I don't know if she's a member here or not, but I am so happy I found this blog!

Some of the styles that really piqued my interest were these:
Flipped Banded Ponytail (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/2009/09/17/day-17-flips-on-bikers-braid/)
The Parallel Braid (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/day-34-parallel-braid/)
The Network Braid (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/day-37-network-braid/)
Round 3-Strand Braid (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/2009/10/20/day-38-round-braids-3-strands/)
Spiral Braid (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/2009/11/07/day-50-spiral-braid/) (I've always wondered how this style was done.)
I had no idea there were so many ways to make a 4-Strand Box Braid (http://hairfriendlystyles.wordpress.com/2010/02/15/day-63-4-strands-round-braids/)!

Being a total braid fanatic, I am very excited to try all of these styles eventually. :D

Enjoy! :flower:

I've got some real serious braid envy now.

Grow, hair, grow! :whip: We have to try these!

Some (okay, so pretty much all of them!) Look so awesome! I might have to try some of them at some point. My hair doesn't look too good in braids though because it's so thin. :(

That was a great find - and thanks for posting! But I am a braidtard, and seeing so many lovely braided styles has awakened my braid envy with a vengeance!

oh but I noticed your hair is at 38" so you could do some really cool crochet stitch buns. I can only do one chain, as it turns out my hair is too thick!

I'm so happy you all like it! :D I haven't tried any of the braids yet, but I'll get around to it eventually. I really think the flipped banded ponytail i really clever and I wish that I had thought of it before.

Awesome! I tried one - the asymmetric rope braid - and it actually worked quite well, I'm really excited! Now I want to try them all! I don't know if I'll be able to do all those 5-strand double braids on myself, but I'm looking forward to trying.
Hooray for another excuse to not do my work....

Thank you for this! I don't have nearly enough hair for some of them, but I can't wait to try the parallel braid! What a fun site!
