odd reaction to new fringe!

I got a gorgeous short shattered fringe cut yesterday and 8 people asked me if my hair had suddenly grown longer - including my DBF! And a woman i know quite well asked me if i had had extensions put in!!!
Bizarre! And rather amusing. :o

Ah the power of optical illusions. Perhaps because a part of the hair was shorter that the rest seamed to somehow be longer, when one see the two side by side. It is the same concept that if you wear horizontal stripes you look thicker, not because you are, but because the eye then travels horizontally across your body.

Yes, illusion. People I see daily ask me if I'm wearing extensions or how did my hair get so long when I braid it. Braids look shorter, yes?:confused:
