This is one of my friends modelling photos and she had a hairdresser style her hair but I want to be able to do that on myself!
Anyone know if this style has a name? Or know how to do it?? Or know of any youtube tutorial's??

It looks like the front part is a very loose French braid done across the forehead and sweeping to the side. The back seems like loosely pinned curls, but it's difficult to tell from this picture.

You can get a similar effect with a perm, a lot of time arranging your hair, and a really massive highlighting job.

It's entirely possible there's nothing long hair appropriate in that style at all. There is a lot of air there, and that's hard to manage with long hair.

I think a perimiter braid sorta thing would be needed for the front bit, which I'm guessing is the part you're after. Torrin page has one in her swoop bun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx1wl8fNvto) video.

My hair is currently at the same length that hers was when this style was done. I just want to replicate it in my own hair.. I don't think you'd need a perm??

But loads of hairspray nevertheless. Perimeter braid and wisps of hair swept, sprayed and pinned into place. There seems to be a second braid on the crown.

Look in youtube tutorials for perimeter braids and messy buns.
