Here are a few pictures of what my hair looked like at my high school prom in the 1990's...just for laughs!! It was LONG and very permed! I miss all that hair I had, but I don't really miss that 'do LOL!

Lol, that's an awesome perm!

I used to perm my hair when I was in high shool, too. Mine just didn't look that great :)

Oh, that's sooo fun!! You look like you had a great time! :D

Here's my mom helping me finalize my 'do for my high school Senior Prom in 2004:

It's long, and I basically just curled it. What is up with my bangs, though?!?! LOL!

Mine is my avatar :). Sort of. I just graduated this past June but I still went to my boyfriend's a few weeks ago; he's a year younger than me. Otherwise, I usually just straightened my hair.. eveerryyy daaay, even for homecoming. Never went to prom. Couldn't be bothered with spending money on nails, hair, shoes, etc etc.

Ahhh...the good ol' 90s - when we lacquered the heck out of permed, teased-up hair.

My personal fave of the 90s was the bangs wall. Did you do that? My sister's wall was 6" high. LOL

I agree, but it's just not acceptable these days...
And contrary to popular belief the perm never "hurt" my hair. I only got one once a year and I always felt it was an easy way to style your hair...dry it with a diffuser and let it go wild! hahaha

And I posted my high school updos all the time, as I finished it in April:D Maybe I would laugh at them in some time:D

Here's my senior picture from 1973. It seems that not much has changed, but between 1981 and 1995, I had just about every style imaginable (all short) in a range of colors. I seem to have come full circle (except now I have my silvers/grays/whites)j.

That's what my hair looked like for prom, which was about a year and a half or so ago. However, I wasn't actually in high school for my prom, since I graduated a year early.

This is more consistent with how my hair looked when I was actually enrolled in high school. That picture's from Thanksgiving, I believe, and I was imitating the "Muffins" video with various things I had made for the meal. My brothers at least got a kick out of it.

You're gorgeous and the blonde hair suited you very well.

Gee...trying to think if I even have a HS pic. Hmm. The style then was definitely feathered bangs or teased. I thought my hair was long back then, it was not even BSL. Oh the hairspray and the hours teasing hair. Yikes. That was early 90's when the 80's hadn't died yet. By my Junior year I had given up bangs and went to pulling it back in a barrett or banana clip. I think I cut in bangs again my senior year.

I didn't really follow trends, but I still made oh so many mistakes. When everyone was straightening, I got a perm. I dyed my hair a few dark reds, and a dark purple (but I didn't bleach first so the effect wasn't too startling).

My prom was a couple of years post-perm. My hairdresser could only fit me in early in the afternoon, and she said my hair was too thick to hold curling for that long, so while every other girl had soft romantic curls, there was me with straightened half-up hair, with the front in a series of twists pointing straight up in a line. Imagine the Statue of Liberty's crown crossed with a pineapple, made of hair. Oh dear.
