Goal attained! (I think :)

Well I believe I have reached my goal of Tailbone length! When I last posted a length pic on the boards it was in mid February and I was at waist -

Here is a photo taken yesterday. About 7 months growth.

In the first photo flash was used hence the shine!
Now I must decide whether to let it continue growing or upkeep it at this length. Hmmmm...

You mention you don't know whether to keep growing or to maintain; think about how you want to wear your hair and how you enjoy it most. If you like it loose I would suggest you try maintaining a while and see how you like it. The layers are very flattering on your hair loose.
If you like to wear it up you may want to maintain to gradually trim out the layers so bits don't pop out of updos and so you don't have artificial braid taper. That's just my opinion of course, I just wanted to suggest some things to think about :)

Tailbone is a nice length to have. Long enough to be long, short enough that it doesn't get sat on or caught interesting places when you're undressed.

You can always let it keep going, and trim back to tailbone if you don't like it longer. I'll bet you have quite a bit left before you hit terminal, though!

Thank you for the suggestions! I do wear my hair down a majority of the time so regular trims may become a must.

Thank you :) Please stay the course in your quest for tailbone! There were a couple times that I wanted to BUZZ off my hair (and I probably will someday) because I was frustrated by its condition but since LHC its improved so much and I'm glad I stuck it out.

Any pearls of wisdom I gained where from the wonderful folks here at LHC! Mainly I just wash it as little as possible, rotating between WO and CO when I do wash and also I eat very healthy and try to drinks lots of water. I think the internal health has a lot to do with hair health.

Gorgeous hair! It has a very elegant shape, too-- can I ask, did you trim your layers in yourself? Or is that just how some people's hair grows when it gets very long... ? (my hair is curly, so layers kind of get lost unless they are really chunky)

Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations on reaching your goal. :) I'm just like you...always considering alternating your hair goal. :) Look at it this way...if you decide to go longer, you'll be able to get trims whenever you want without feeling like you've had a setback in you goal. :)
