View Full Version : I learned a new bun!!

October 8th, 2010, 06:36 AM

I spent most of the last week on YouTube, watching hair videos (primarily Habioku and the newer Torrinpaige ones) and finally got around to trying one. I don't know why I've never just sat down and done it before, but it's always been "I'll do this later"

So now I have a "spidermom's bun" in! :cheese:

ETA: now, photo goodness

That bun looks fabulous in that bun. Just lovely. And perfect. :blossom:

I hope that one day I have hair long enough to make that style look good.

Thanks all! I've been wearing that poor thing almost non-stop. :D I particularly like it because it doesn't have to be tight to stay, and if it is too tight, then I can loosen it easily - without taking the whole thing down!

And you know, I don't even know where I got that hairstick. I've had it a while and never worn it because it didn't work in the styles I was doing. But it's the primo stick for this one!

I hope that one day I have hair long enough to make that style look good.

FrannyG - I actually wrap my ends around a few times, so you might be able to do this now. And if you can't get 2 loops and still have enough to wrap, there's another version (another kind of bun?) that you only do 1 loop and split it in half, laying one half to each side. It's just about the same as this.

Oh how lovely :D! Simple yet elegant. If I can ever get the hang of up-dos I'll have to try it :3.

That is really pretty. Is that bun hard to do? You said you got the idea of Youtube, could you kindly direct me to the video in question please?

It is a nice clean and dainty bun! The stick fits it well too.
I think I need to find some time to learn a few buns myself now that I am getting oh so close to waist! Thanks for sharing.
