Oil question

I have dry ends.....even after I've switched to CO and use coconut oil before and after I wash my hair. I am getting my hair trimmed next month. So I've been wondering, how do you know if your ends are dry do to too much oil, or another reason?

Hi there.
Have you clarified your hair and applied a deep moisturising treatment such as the SMT (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=128)? If you oil, it's a good idea to clarify whenever the hair feels gunky since build up can make the hair seem like it's crunchy and dry even thought it isn't.
