I really like this updo as it is easy but fit for a queen...or any other more formal gathering.

But it sure looks like I'm in danger to fall on my back. Ouch.

(Military style shirt and soft romantic updo FTW!)

Thank you, Nighshade, for this lovely idea. I'm going to do a video as soon I'm off my woozy pills.

My shirt kicks behinds. :) It is also indestructible as I have had it for ten years now. My superpower shirt. It is. *noods*

That's one awesome 'do. Good thing your superpower shirt helps keep you upright! You know all the secrets, don't you?

That is beautiful, it looks polished yet soft and feminine at the same time. I think it would work as wedding hair. I love it!

I'm the Jedi updo Master. I have skillz. :D

This is the Soft Romantic Ficcare Updo seen in the Article section. Go peek. My version is not as pretty as Nightshade's, but her hair actually not *fight back* when she is bending it. Mine does. And it have learned some sneaky ninja skillz to kick back at me.

I think I'm going to wear this to work tomorrow (with the shirt!) but m going to ditch the flower and make it look more like bridesmaid-that snook-of-with-a-groomsman-behind-the-wedding-cake sort of. A little more messy.

For anyone wondering, here's how to do it :)

I use a Ficcare, but I imagine a slide or Flexi-8 would work too!

That's absolutely lovely! I would love to do something like that with my hair.. alas, it simply isn't long enough :(.

Ooo, I love it, I've got to try this at some point. So very pretty.

Plus I love the combination of romantic hair and a military shirt. It's like wearing a cocktail dress and Dr Martens. They really shouldn't go together, yet for some reason it works fabulously.

Hypnotica, you are my hero! I lurve the shirt! And the updo is simply stunning. I'm almost long enough to do this and the idea of a flexi-8 is brilliant since I'm ficcare crippled. But alas, I must call you and Nightshade evil enablers! I have no flexi-8s! *runs off to the swap board and the self made hairtoys threads to find flexi-8s and fakesy-8s*

Like I did this Saturday - had the whole Hepburn look going on and a pair of Dr Martens.

This is sooo pretty! And I finally have another style my Ficcares will work with. :D (I can only seem to get them to work on rolled styles... I dunno why)

Only problem... I don't have any of those little Amish/finishing pins for the top. :hmm: Those are available practically everywhere, right?

I'm, like, thisclose to getting a Ficcare or Flexi-8 just to be able to do this style. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm fine until step 6. I just don't understand that instruction.

Step 6:
Pinch the poof and then tuck the pinched portions towards the back of the clip, securing with Amish pins. I use 2 pins. You this sort of makes the top of the updo look curled without actually curling it.

What a lovely style!

I'm having the same problem, enfys. Suggesrions? :)
