At what length did you / will you reach Waist Length?

I will reach WL at around 30". I'm wondering if this is around the normal or if it's really a long ways from BSL etc. So, chime in...what length did/will you reach WL?

BSL was 26" for me and waist 31" from what ive read on here 30" is the most common age that people measure as waist length, though height and whether your short or long waisted make a difference too.

From a time view by the time I have reached a solid waist length it would have taken me near enough 5 years.

Waist length is 33" on me. I'm 5' 8 1/2" and long waisted. When I used to sew for myself, I would add 2" to the bodice length on anything I made.

An old friend I used to have told me I have a proportionate body frame, I guess I should be glad of that fact, ie: it won't take 10000000000 years to reach butt-length etc, theoretically, I mean.

Incidentally, that friend was a artist (she liked to paint in watercolour) she pestered me for years to pose au naturelle for her because of my body type/frame etc. :lol:

Also short waisted here. I actually have a collapsed disc, so my torso is about a full inch shorter than it normally would be; at least there's a silver lining for measuring hair length. ;) LHC-defined waist is somewhere around 28" for me.

I'm reminded of a long-standing disagreement I had with an old friend of mine, she was around your height, I'm almost 8" taller. I was skinny at the time (lost 7 lbs in a week from stress of kicking my ex husband out) and she had lost 100ish lbs herself. The argument was this:

Her: "you're tiny!"

Me: "LOLWUT, *you're* tiny!"

On and on it went, until one day she PICKED ME UP. That ceased the argument right there. :lol:

I still can't wrap my brain around the concept of being tiny *AND* being tall. :confused:

I think waist is the part of your torso right below your rib cage, ideally the smallest part of your upper half. If you were to draw a line separating your top and bottom halves at the waist, the line would go through the belly button.

Waist on me is between 32 and 33 inches. I'm 5'8".

When mine was down to my belt, it measured about 38".

When you measure to your waist, is it the top of the waist or lower half of the waist?:confused:. Ive got a measuring tape that I ran along from my hairline down to the bottom but I don't know where the "waist measurement" starts. Can someone tell me, thanks!:)

hm, Dreamkitty: waist top or lower... I think if it were me (i'm still a while from waist so I don't have to worry about being exact yet), I'd consider the waist measurement by top. Although I'd probably tie a string around my waist as a string is too thin for there to be a top or bottom: if it's hit the string it'd be waist. That's the way I see it anyways :)
