I'm new here but haven't been able to find a lot of different hairstyles. I was thinking it would be great if everyone could post their favorite hairstyle pics on one post..... let me know if this has already been done

My favorite hairstyle is a single Dutch braid. I don't have a picture right now, but I promise I'll post one tomorrow :D
I like it because it doesn't pull like a bun, and it's easy to drive and rest my head, but it looks more "dressed up" than a single English braid, which is my second favorite. I don't really like French braids, they just don't feel special enough for me, because everyone around here knows them.

I am fond of two simple four-stranded braids down the sides, or Sailor Moon hair.

My favorite hairstyle is like the nautilus bun (video instructions are on youtube), but I don't twist my hair when I do it, and sometimes I pull it inside out.

Here is a very loose, messy version of it:

Here is a picture of it pulled inside out:

Before I had a kid I liked various braided styles the best, but I prefer quick now. The bun I showed above can be done in less than 15 seconds.

I'd suggest taking a look in the hair styles section of the articles :) There are a lot of great styles there.

Me, personally, I like cinnabuns and log rolls. I really like accent braids, too - they can make the same hairstyle look a lot different, and very special.

There are a lot of different styles in the articles section, along with tutorials on how to do them.

The link is in the middle of the nav bar with "home" and "log out" at either end.

My favourite style is the Gibraltar bun because it's quick and sturdy but still looks like a classic cinnamon bun to most untrained eyes.

You most probably didn't discover the hairstyle section yet - or maybe you did? If it's not enough for you, there you go.

A great, great site.

My favorites: flipped bun, number eight bun, braided bun, French braid, LWB, nautilus bun, log roll, cinnamon bun and cinnamon bun with a tail... I like it simple.

Try dreamweavers.com, cutegirlshairstyles.com and youtube for great hairstyles. On YouTube, search for updos, retro styles, pentecostal styles (great buns), apostolic styles (great buns and fancy dos), braids, french braids, rope braids, braided headbands, dutch braids. Also, on YouTube, check out torrinpaige's channel. She is a member here, too, and has a TON of cool videos and tutorials with a variety of differenty hairdos. Have fun and don't be afraid to try some funky things on your own, too. You never know what fun things you might come up with! :-)

ETA: also, you might want to check out the 60-day updo challenge thread here at LHC. People have been listing their updos day by day and a lot of them have been posting pics, also. Somewhere in the archives (or maybe articles) there is a comprehensive, alphabetical list of all the hairstyles ever mentioned on LHC. I found it by searching for "list of styles" or something similar. There are several different updo challenges out there that have pics. Also, in the forums section there is an option for Hair Polls and Projects with a subcategory of "hairstyle of the Month". Every month there is a different style chosen. That's agood place to go for simple styles.

Welcome and hang out here a while! There are a lot of good resources here!

Ohhh...my name was spoken...I feel honored :D.

My favored hairstlye, when it has to be very stable: nautilus bun
Which I like for the style: Elling-bun, braided beehive.

My favorite updo is a celtic or regular knot bun. I have some styles listed on my hair journal if you want to take a look. http://www.network54.com/Forum/496746/message/1151685176/Style+Gallary
