This is the first time I've ever been able to get my blasted APL hair into a single french braid. (A style I love.) It's a bit (very) messy since I've been all over campus, but I'm loving the front and the back. I'm a very happy camper right now.

Yay good job!
I haven't tried doing a french braid on my hair yet, I am however getting better at doing a dutch braid. :)

It's so exciting when you can finally make a french braid, isn't it? It sure was for me. It took me a long 2 weeks of practicing to get it to look decent. French braids are my favorite braid to do. Although it does get challenging when your hair is longer...haha. Anyways, good job! Cute nails :)

Nicely done! And if you're concerned about the (very slight) messiness, consider that it did in fact stay in, while you were all over campus. Which is an acheivement in itself.

Congratulations! It's really great to hear that you were able to do a style that you love. It doesn't matter if it ended up messy. You did it yourself, and darn it you can do it again!

congratulations!!!! i remember when i was learning to french braid, it seemed so impossible and messy and then POOF all of a sudden i could do it! granted, it took forever and many tries each time lol. next i tackled the dutch braid (that took a long time too).
now i like doing a dutch braid down one side of my head to frame my face and then braid it all together and bun it at the back :)
i love french and dutch braids!!!!

Way to go! :). I can't even do a regular, plain ol' braid. I tried last night and I guess I sort of did.. but it was uneven and sloppy and not what I'd call a true braid.

Very nice! It is such a great thing, learning to make a French Braid. It opens so many other styles and variations, while looking good. When my hair was shorter I liked to tuck the tail up inside the braid, between the braid and my scalp, and hold it in place with a couple of hair pins. Another variation on a very versatile style.
