I made my first fork today....

and it doesn't look that good. I drew it (the top is a three leafed clover) and my husband cut it which really was a stupid idea because he has the tremors in his hands real bad. I figured I would be able to fix things by sanding it but ... eh. That is okay, I painted it with watered down metalic green acrylic paint then scrubbed it off. That is okay, it is handmade and is special because my husband and I worked on it together. Maybe I will spray it with glitter, after all I am a glitter-aholic!

I just finished putting the gloss on my first fork too. Sounds like we have similar experiences. Mine is flat green instead of metalic, but its wonky looking. Thats ok, I made sure it was at least sanded completely smooth, and DH and I made it together, so I'll still wear it :)
