Sailor Moon hair?

Ok, so I know that no one's hair is going to look like animated hair but I was wondering how many of you have sported the Sailor Moon 'do before? I'm sure I'm not the only one that has thought of doing this with their long hair. :D

This is one of my favorites!

Wear it often to conventions and elsewhere. My hair never "lays," so it isn't even obviously in tails, but, yeah-- It pretty much rocks!

No pictures, but my thought has always been that the Sailor Moon odango looks more like she has “fanned” her piggy tails over a ball and then fixated at the base more than real buns!
I know there are many tutorials out there on the wild wide web but they never looked right to me

i just made knots at the top of the pigtails.

I hope those look sort of right . . . I've never watched Sailor Moon, but I googled some pictures and it looked cool, so I figured I'd give it a shot (^(oo)^)v

ETA: hmm, this is hairstyle is pretty secure and quite comfy!

ive worn it tons of times.. i just tie the top of pigtails into a knot (like in the live action version of sailor moon) and pin the little knot..

i like it because its an easy way to shorten the length.. but i do get strange looks when i do it

PS My DBF and I always watch Sailor Moon...LOL yes are nerds :) So I think he would like this hairstyle. He says I am Sailor Chibi Moon aka Rini because I'm really petite.

Who the heck is "Sailor Moon???!" I mean, I figured it out all by myself that she(?) is a cartoon character apparently sporting some sort of cool hairstyle. Anime? Disney? Hannah Montana's Alter-Ego?!

I'm loving the buns ladies! :) Sailor Moon has me seriously reconsidering my hair goal and extending it to knee. I adore Usagi's hair and it's not entirely impossible to pull off her typical double bun style me thinks. :D

I love the odango style, but I can't get it to work on my head, it always looks odd. Must be my head shape...
