I've figured out that if I don't worry about tucking my ends in I can actually manage a decent lazy wrap bun, finally! I've been dying to use my new hairsticks:

The wooden one is Epstone, the others are from Quecraft and I'm lovong them all. Now that I can finally wear them, I'm itching to get more!

I also took a picture of my length tonight, and realised I had another from exactly three months ago. I had a trim about three weeks after the first picture was taken, but I'm not just imagining that it's grown, right?

Your lazy wraps are lovely! And gorgeous hairtoys too! The owl one is my favourite!

And no you're not imagining that it's grown at all, you've got at least a good 3 inches extra gained!

Your hair grew so much! And your lazy wrap looks very neat and tidy (I like it a lot better than the messier versions).

Yay, I like the lazy wrap a lot! I have a bit of trouble keeping them up, though, and I totally agree about the ends must making it worse. Yours look lovely. I  the black and white sticks!

Your lazy wraps look fantastic with your new sticks! :D I wish mine lazy wraps could look that smooth. No matter what I do they never look polished and often don't feel comfortable at all.

How do your lazy wraps turn out so nicely? I am certain my hair is long enough for a lazy wrap but for some reason it took me months until I can make a stable one that won't fall apart within a few minutes!

Beautiful hair, and great hairsticks!
How do you make your lazy wrap bun? Mine never look that good so I've been blaming my hair for being too short, but it's not. I think I try too hard to get it to look right (which makes lazy wrap an oxymoron).

Your "lazy" wraps are anything BUT lazy looking on you. They look very sleek and neat on you, and the chopsticks are so cute!

And congratulations on your progress over the summer. You have grown a solid 3 inches over this summer!

Thank you so much for the comments, guys!

I used this tutoria (http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm169/savuinen/?action=view&current=j001.flv)l, I think it was linked in the article section. But I also spent way too much time trying to get it right, handling my hair too much, which I think is why I suddenly had a lot of splits where I hadn't seen any before. It really did make 'lazy' wrap an oxymoron! So I decided I'd just have to accept I couldn't do it yet, left it alone for a while and tried to forget about the pretty sticks calling for me, and now it worked.

I think it has to do with the texture of ones hair. I mean, I heard this was something you could do at APL, but my hair is finally solidly BSL and I haven't been able to do a stable one until now. My hair is really slippery, which I'm guessing plays a role. So frustrating when you know you're supposed to be able to pull it off, and yet you can't!

I'm really looking forward to another couple inches of growth so that I don't have to twist quite as tightly. My current mini-goal is to be able to do a looser, comfortable bun with the ends less visible before November ends!

You're definitely not imagining the growth, I'd say a couple inches. Congrats :)
