September 2010 - Measure In!

I measured at 40.5" (gained 1/2"). I will be putting away the measuring tape for three months, maybe four. Hopefully my ignorance will inspire my head to grow some hair. LOL

I'm at approximately 25.5 inches, so another solid half inch in August.

I was noticing that I'm actually a lot closer to "waist" (smallest part of the torso) than I thought. I can credit having a collapsed disc for an extremely short torso; at least there's some silver lining. ;) Waist, then, is somewhere around 29 inches, so maybe another four solid months if my hair continues to cooperate. I would call waist my "mid-term" goal; what I considered waist before LHC was closer to the waistband of my jeans, which do sit a bit further down on my hip, and I've always wanted my hair to be at least that long. My ultimate goal would probably be tailbone, and then we'll see from there. But it's nice to have a solid goal within spittin' distance! :D

Why not... it's been years since I posted a measurement here at LHC. Just trimmed on this last day of August so I am back at 28 inches. But... I hope I can hold out and not trim again :hmm: well at least for one year.

I measured 77cm last night (that's 30 inches, or maybe just a smidgeon over?). About 1cm of growth in the last month or so.

I'm now putting the tape measure away until 31 December. If a watched pot never boils, perhaps it's also true that a measured tress never grows? I need to just put it up and forget it and stop obsessing over it. :)

I went from 25 inches to 26 inches during August. It must be the summer growth spurt thing, because my hair usually doesn't grow that fast. The ends are looking pretty nice too, so I'm not going to trim this month like I usually do.

i will be calling that my Sept. measurement and waiting for Oct, to measure again AND take pics...(That is if I hold off on getting the microbraids for the time beeing :)

Well, I don't really have a measuring tape for this...but I'll add what mine is at anyway.

At the end of July, I had to cut short, all of the dead ends/nastiness gone. It was about jaw-length in the front, a little shorter in the back.
Now, the front is about 2 & 1/2 inches down from my jaw, & in the back its about the span of two fingers away from hitting my collar of my t-shirt. So i'm rough estimating that it's grown about 2 & 1/2 inches, ish, which is a lot for me :) My hair does grow quite fast though, thank goodness, since I want to head for SL first, then BSL :)
I've been taking a lot of Biotin too, & my multivitamin, which i think have helped. Over all i'm pleased. I want to have it grow as quickly as possible. So impatient!

I got so tired of obsessing over measuring that I gave my friend all of my measuring impliments so I wouldn't be tempted but if the past few months have been any indication then I'm probobly around 19in by now.

I haven't seriously measured for the past couple of months because I was getting sick of the twenties. I want 30 inches, dang it! But finally, the tape measure today read 30.75. Ignoring your hair pays off. I'm about an inch away from waist, although I probably need another 2 inches before it looks like full waist length.

I measured in this month at 29.25 inches! When I joined at the very beginning of March (2010) my hair was 25 inches long, so that's 4.25 inches in 6 months or so. Yay! :)

I did a small self-trim (1/4 inch) of the very longest of my growth attempting to keep the ends even and hopefully thicken them up. Even with that I've grown 1/2 inch and am now at 34.5. BCL is 36, so while I'm officially in maintaining-to-thicken-ends mode, that's my next goal.

In August, I was at 17" after a trim. I'm now at 18", so maybe the biotin and occational monistat treatment have boosted my usually-slow growth rate. :cheer:

I'm at 50 inches now, so only 0.25 inches growth this time. I might maintain this length for a month or two to even up the ends a bit. It is tempting to just keep growing, though.

I did a half an inch trim a couple of days ago to head off any splits (I seem to be getting more lately, maybe due to more frequent Curlformer use? I hope not!)

Anyhow, I'm at 22.75" So only a quarter inch increase this month, after trims.

I'm at 18.5" dry and 19" wet, aprox. 1 inch of growth. I think its too inexact to try to measure closer than a half inch. I'm about 3 inches from APL. If the monistat and multivitamins can help me grow an inch a month, I'll be there by my birthday :)

Finally made it to 28"! I also trimmed this month, somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 an inch. I trim every 3rd month. Next trim will be December 1st. I'm pretty disappointed that I only grew 1" all summer. I grew 1" per month this past winter... But I've been shedding a LOT this summer. But now I'm almost almost at waist! The very tips are there but I'm not calling it until 29 or 30 inches.

Looks like I had growth since I'm 33" now. It's really tough to figure out how many inches I need to grow to reach tailbone (because my hair is wavy and maddening to measure). I'm guessing about 5-7 more inches. I'm happy with the quality of my hair right now. Last time I was tailbone it was not very healthy so I'm really excited to see what it will look like.

I measured 25.5", with a gain of 0.5". I'm glad there's growth, but I was hoping for more! Oh well. I guess part of the reason I was hoping for more is because my unstretched measurement was one whole inch longer, but measuring curls is so unreliable! They just don't measure evenly or well.

38.5" :cheese: :D That's a 2.5" increase since last measure. Before that one I had a professional 'trim' by a family member who actually trimmed only what was necessary. It has done so much better since then and I also have started brushing instead of combing (unless wet, of course). Classic here I come!!! :cheer:

My hair growth has slowed to a crawl these last few months, maybe a 1/4 inch at a time. This past month I think I finally got almost a 1/2 inch again. I thought I'd measured on August 10th, but the date on my tape says 17th, so I guess I measured early. But in about three weeks, I gained 3/8ths of an inch. Not too bad, I guess, since it didn't seem to grow any at all there for a few months. :nono:

I haven't measured in forever and yes I got trims but I was 26 in July.

Maybe I got more trimmed off than I wanted to and didn't notice. Sigh... This is a good place to start really monitoring again.
