Wow! I hadn't measured my hair for eons, the previous time I kept obsessively checking the length it seemed to almost have stalled at an irritating 39 inch-ish and I kept thinking it'll never get past 40''/100cm (know they aren't exactly the same but close enough for me).

So, out of sheer curiousity I took out the tape measure after a very long while and, lo and behold, measured 41''/105cm! Granted, my hair is straightened at the moment, but it's definitely only a few cm shorter when wavy. My hair IS growing after all and I can finally join the 40 inches club! Could've joined a long time ago actually.

I feel like the occasion deserves the cheese dance: :cheese:

Now I feel like I really can reach classic by Christmas.

Here's my most recent length shot (have had an inch trimmed since then) :

... and I still don't find it particularly long at all. Maybe I suffer from hair dysmorphic disorder? :D

Very pretty. :) I must suffer from the same disorder as I now think my waist length hair is "short hair". :p

I also have this disorder. Do you think it's contagious?? ;)

Congratulations on the growth! It's always so inspiring to see achievers. :D

Wow, great length shot! Even though you recently cut in bangs, your hair still looks incredibly thick!

congrats.. i wasnt even aware of 40 inches being a real milestone.. i suppose if i ever measured anything in centimeters i would be really happy when my hair passed 100 (here in america not many people use the metric system).. well good for you! thats one inch longer than me.. the thickness looks nice :)

congrats! It's odd how your hair doesn't seem that long once you reach a milestone you've been anticipating.

That's a beautiful picture Swanns! Congrats, a whole meter is a BIG milestone :) I'm Finnish too btw :cheese:
I'm currently waiting for 30" as my next mini milestone before waist length... It seems so much longer than the 20's hehe. But 40" is really in the super long club!!!

Congratulations! I suffer from the same disorder myself. :p Seems like my hair will never get long again, and then you almost start sitting on it and thinking hum, maybe... ;)

Beautiful!!! I think we just get used to our length and very long hair seems so normal to us so we forget how long ours is. I remember when mine was 27" (one and a half years to go till I get back there!!) I would not even think of it as long. Then I would catch my reflection in a window as I was walking by and go oh wow it's getting long!!!

I can't wait to catch up to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh fantastic. Your hair looks lovely and I am very happy for you. As for myself, I am about 5 inches short of the magic 40. Maybe next Christmas I will reach classic. But Wooo Hoo for you!

I've been maintaining at 40 inches for some months now, but for me it's only tailbone length...

triumphator, it's my Canon EOS400, friend didn't quite know how to use it so the picture is out of focus :)

Joliebaby, oh hi there fellow Finn! Yeah, one metre sounds even more impressive than 40 inches doesn't it?

Chrissy, I've noticed the same thing! Your hair always looks longer when you just accidentally catch a glimpse of it in the mirror than when you purposely take a look at it.

Othala, let's hope we'll both reach classic by Christmas! :)

Thank you all for the lovely comments! :flower: It's nice to hear your progress inspires others!
