I've been overwashing it. I only wash it twice a week, but it seems like it's too much, because I haven't washed my hair in almost a week and it was super straight like when I did the vinegar rinse and all but frizz (and snarl) free. And it really wasn't greasy at all, even at the scalp. As if shampoo bottles didn't last long enough in this house as it is, now they'll last twice as long.
Also, I mixed some honey in with the vinegar rinse and it smells sooo much better. Even the boy couldn't smell it this time, and last time he complained like the dickens. It made it a little more difficult to brush out after so I had to add some conditioner as I braided it but I think that one might make it into the regular rotation.
I'm glad something worked out in my favor today, lol. I was starting to think there was no salvaging it.
